The 99's came out, and didn't put out the advertised HP. Ford put out the fix which put it where it should be. 99.9% of all 99's have had the fix. 99's and 01's have the same hp now. I believe there were no 02's because ford was working on the "terminator".

Just remember, insurance is crazy on these cars, especially for males under 25!

Well, As I was walking back to the Cobra today after visiting the store I noticed something sticking out underneath. Turns out I had pieces of plastic trash bags stuck in my cats on my xpipe. I think that could have been the burning plastic smell. I will keep a nose out to see if it still does...

Mine so far is awesome. No problems what so ever so far. It runs like a champ, I've just noticed that plastice burning smell which is probably what you've said. No tick, no vibe, no pull.

I just bought a new 03. I hear no tick but sometimes I smell a smell like plastic burning? Any ideas what that is?

Exhaust, cai, and work on suspension/traction. That's my plan at least when I get mine. Don't want to mess with pulley because of warranty issues.

The badging on the rear of an 01 just says SVT. The bumper is what says Cobra. My guess is the 99's said SVT Cobra on the badge because the bumper said Mustang.

Ya, I'm about to go for a "non anniversary edition" 03 Cobra. They seem to be coming down in price, especially if you look at buying it from a private seller. I've seen them come all the way down to $24,500.

Just because a car has the pillar gauges doesn't mean its supercharged. I've seen alot of rice and even some mustangs that weren't supercharged that had pillar gauges. Guess we need a pic of the engine to know for sure.
