    Actual Mpg

My GT has right at 500 miles on the odometer and I'm seeing 15mpg (mixed driving in the hills). It's a 6-speed manual with the performance package, so 3.73 gears.

Where To Buy Rear Carpet Floor Mats For A 2015?

:nice:Thank you for your feedback and the pics. They look good in your ride! Anybody using the all-weather rubber mats that Ford sells for $95?

Where To Buy Rear Carpet Floor Mats For A 2015?

I just purchased my 2015 last Friday, and even though the car is covered in about 9 inches of snow right now, I'm on the hunt for black carpet floor mats for the rear floor boards. Google has only shown me complete 4-piece sets through Ford or from Lloyd, but I haven't been able to track down...

    Broken Speedometer question

Koa04, did replacing the ground also fix your problem? The Tach in my '98 stopped working (for the most part) about 3 years ago. It will randomly work "normally," but is generally pegged @ flatline. My gauges are OEM.

StangNet.com is 10 years old this month!

Stangnet has always been an awesome resource for provoking me to spend more and more $$$ on my car...gee thanks, Stangnet (j/k) :p ! No, really, the members of Stangnet have always provided the information and technical know-how to keep me coming back. Happy birthday, Stangnet! :SNSign:

    OE WHEELS on Ebay? Questions.

I ordered my 17x9" and 17x10.5" deep dish bullitts from them last month. You may want to give them a call and see if they have other tire options. The wheels I purchased weren't kitted with tires, so I called them, and they had Sumitomo HTRZ's for the 17's. I went with the combo, and they...

    spring install questions

Same here...I'm simply concerned about the aesthetics. HISSIN50, to answer your previous question...the car has exactly the same amount of fenderwell gap (I measured from top of tire to the fenderwell lip in level concrete garage), on 3 of 4 corners.

Recommended tire air pressure for 275/40/17's & 315/35/17's?

How even has your treadwear been with these psi specs (any shoulder wear, other than from hard cornering)? I see that you are also running a staggered set-up. Also, what brand/model tires are you running? I also set mine at 34 in the front & 32 in the rear. Based on all of the feedback...

    Tires!

BFG says the shelf life is 10yrs., but in my experience, they show signs of dry rot much sooner than that! If you want to check the manufacture date of the tire, look for "DOT" on the sidewall (it will read something like "DOT B H M O BH 21 1502"). The important characters are the last 4! In...

Recommended tire air pressure for 275/40/17's & 315/35/17's?

Disturbed One, the last tire I had on the car was a Sumitomo HTR+ in 245/45/17 (on the factory 17x8 rims). From Sumitomo's website, the maximum PSI was 51 for this tire. For the 275/40/17's & the 315/35/17's, Sumi says that the max PSI is 44 (both sizes are showing the same). Based on...

    spring install questions

Thanks, HISSIN50! I'll pull the rear wheels this weekend to check the spring locations. Anything else that you know of that could cause a droop? Maybe the isolators are shot, but is it also possible that the spring could be sagging? They are 250lb. linear rate springs on the rear (600lb...

    spring install questions

Going to resurrect this old thread for some clarification. Do the pigtails at the TOPS or the BOTTOMS of the rear springs need to point toward the driver's side? More specifically, do you mean that that the very tips of the springs point "left" (like if you were using your index finger to...

Recommended tire air pressure for 275/40/17's & 315/35/17's?

I'll try to Google a calculator for this...didn't know such a formula existed. The weight of the vehicle increased by about 14lbs. for the tires & approximately 15-19lbs. for the new wheels. I doubt this is that significant in the calculation, though, except for slowing the car down even more.

Recommended tire air pressure for 275/40/17's & 315/35/17's?

The car is an SN95 ('98GT). The tires were mounted & balanced (Hunter RoadForce balancing = sweet!), and shipped with 40psi. This pressure sounded pretty high to me, and the car is actually understeering (pushing through turns) quite alot at this psi. As for ride comfort...it doesn't exist at...

Recommended tire air pressure for 275/40/17's & 315/35/17's?

I just installed new deep-dish bullitt rims on my car about a week ago, and want to maximize the treadwear on the tires (they are factory rated @ 160 for treadwear...typical for a summer tire). I'm running a common staggered set-up, with 17x9's in the front, and 17x10.5's on the back (obviously...

Pics from the Buckeye Stangs Summit Racing show... 56K-go have a snickers

http://www.keepmyfile.com/thumb/1137542822b6162b.gif I saw that car at the Super Summit IV show at Tallmadge in July! Those rims look even more AMAZING in person on a red car! I'm pretty sure the rims are 18"x9" up front & 18"x10" out back. I almost ordered a set for my Atlantic Blue...

    Brake calipers...

High-temp engine paint from any auto parts store works just fine. Mine have been painted blue for over 4yrs., and I've only touched them up once (last year). :nice:

    17x10.5" or 18x10" deep-dish bullitt pics on '96-'98?

Ha, ha...my car is too slow to spin the tires a lot! :nonono: Thanks, guys, for the pointers on tire pricing and rim weight. BlackGT4.6, I have 4 quick questions for you. First, do the 17x9's up front stick out enough to throw stuff (i.e., rocks, road grime, etc.) down the side of the car...

    17x10.5" or 18x10" deep-dish bullitt pics on '96-'98?

I can't decide between the 17" or 18" version of these rims for my '98 Atlantic Blue GT. I don't have PhotoShop, so I am hoping that you guys have some pics of your '96-'98 rides with deep-dish bullitts (especially if your stang is blue!). If so, please list your rim sizes front/back & tire...

    throwing codes - O2?

I think most handheld tuners do have the ability to disable the rear O2's. The Steeda MIL's were simply a more feasible option for me (the only other real advantage to a tuner on a '98GT it timing advance); unfortunately, one of my rear O2's went bad within 2 weeks of removing the cats and...
