Well, I just got back from a week in Corpus Christi cleaning up and cleaning out his house. I got 4 totes full of stuff and his tool box. It's a god knows 50 or so year old Snap On top box on a Craftsman bottom box. Not very big, but crammed full of tools and stuff. I couldn't let it go...

Thanks! He had turned 90 in Dec. He had had 3 heart attacks (all minor) starting at 44...but he was in good health, save for heart failure and COPD. Mind sharp as a tack. Still drove himself around, except my sister grocery shopped for him. He drove himself to the Dr just 3 days before he...

Well, this has a been a rough month. I got the vid, then my dad went to the ER. I ended up rushing down to Corpus Christi. My brother, sister, and myself were holding his hands as he passed. Worst/best thing ever. When I got there he was lucid. So just about all the family, most of his...

So this is a Tin Soldiers Race Cars adjustable front leaf spring mount. I was super excited when I saw this. This is what I want for the front of the leaf springs. But I read it won't work with Caltracs, but will work with Smith Racecraft Assassin bars. Why I wondered? So I got them and...

Merry Christmas to all. While the wife was running her mom around I broke out the plasma arc saw. I did this. Wasn't planning on messing with outer tubs but mother nature has started removing them for me.

Well, I've been busy, but when I have free time getting some work done on HeHateMe. I ended up not liking how the S&W a pillar down tubes fit. So I got the JD2 tubing bender from my brother and ordered a 1 5/8" die for it. I messed up a tube getting the hang of it but made a down tube that fits...

I missed something. Did he quit or get banned? Since this post is still up, I'll wager the latter.

MMM, crablegs. Did someone say something about cars? I didn't think so. We're doing a traditional Thanksgiving on a non-traditional day...today. Just easier to get everyone together when they have 3 or 4 different places to go.

T-Mobile sucks if you get off the Interstate outside of a city. So does Verizon around here. Both have terrible service off the interstate in north Mississippi or East Arkansas and even around the city of Memphis. I hate ATT the company, but they have a good network, so I think I will get...

The main hoop is on 2x3 outriggers that are just tacked in. When the A pillar bars are correct, they will land on outriggers as well and when the rear down bars are in, I'll cut it loose and drop it down to get the tops welded. Then put it back up and weld the outriggers in.

Got the first down tube tacked in. I'm not sure I like where the bottom ends up. At first glance it will be hard to get a 2x3 in there between the rocker and frame. I may get some more 1.75 tube and use round tube at the front. I am also thinking about getting my brother's tubing bender and...

When I was in the 5th grade, one of the neighbors who was a year older than my brother came by every day and picked us up and took us to school in his 304 4 speed 71 Javelin. It was really cool. My brother's high school parking lot was a muscle car show every day in 81-82. Camaros, Mustangs...

Mike, I think the chrome wheels are a much better choice! It almost makes me like the Futura body style! Although I am sure you're not happy with something and have big plans to make big changes, it's one helluva good looking car that seems to be reliable AF now. Make sure you get...

I'm not sure what it looked like before, but that looks pretty damn good. It's hard to see defects in paint in pictures, but that looks slick.

That's why I hate paint work. I don't have the patience for wet sanding and buffing. That's one of the things I would probably pay someone to do. As far as the speed sensation of the videos...it would probably be better for it to look out the side so we can see the acceleration of the...
