    Code 66 Help!!!

That is what I meant to type. The 1.40v at idle was back probing the c and d pins together. Also pins 50 and 9 on the computer. They are the same voltages in both spots. The new MAF will be here tomorrow and I got a new connector as well because one locking tab is broken on mine. Will update...

    Code 66 Help!!!

Ok final update from his morning. I have verified all of the wiring readings on the 4 MAF pins. They are: Pin A - 12.83v. Good Pin B - Ground. Good Pin C - 1.40v at idle, 8K ohms or so. Possible issue. Pin D - 1.40v at idle, 12K ohms. Possible issue. At this point I will be getting the MAF...

    Code 66 Help!!!

The 1.40 volt reading is on the MAF and on pins C and D at the computer with the car at idle.

    Code 66 Help!!!

Ok, for some reason the OHM readings are not working on my meter. The voltage at idle is 1.40 which I thought was strange. Thoughts? Everything else seems to be fine.

    Code 66 Help!!!

No code 67 that I have seen. But that is extremely helpful. When I bought the car it went through a span of no start and I figured it was the NSS. But then it started working properly again so I let it go for the time being. Didn't know it would disable KOER. I will ground the computer as...

    Code 66 Help!!!

I will measure the output on pins 50 and 9 today. Thanks. I am assuming that if they match it verifies the wiring is good. I will also be returning the replacement MAF for a new unit to rule that out as well. It's free, why not? Also on a side note, I have cleaned the connector and made sure...

    Code 66 Help!!!

All, I have a 90 Gt that I have completed a top end rebuild on. All new gaskets and hardware. When I got the car done it had a hell of a surging idle. Cleaning of the 10 pin connectors finally tamed that down to an acceptable level. The car has always had a code 66 for MAF voltage low since I...

    Surging Idle Help!

I have already ordered the IAC so if that does not fix it at least it will be new. Have a buddy dropping by on Monday to assist with wire testing. I'm sure we will find the issue eventually. There is just so much false reading out there apparently. Glad I found this place. You guys seem to...

    Surging Idle Help!

Well damn.... I bet I have read that test 10 times. Might have even been on here once or twice. Thanks for the information.

    Surging Idle Help!

I supplied ground when I tested it. Placed a wire to both positive and negative on the battery terminals and to each corresponding pin on the IAC. No movement at all. Not even a sound. I have read several times that this is a valid test of the IAC. Is this incorrect?

    Surging Idle Help!

I did. Figured out that the IAC must be the culprit. I have 12V at the harness. With the IAC removed and 12V applied, nothing happens. No movement or sound. Ordered another.

    Surging Idle Help!

I have verified my voltages and everything is in order. Set the base idle setting on the throttle body and readjusted the TPS. Will start tonight and see what happens.

    Surging Idle Help!

Anyone? Cleaned the throttle body, adjusted the idle screw properly, and will check TPS voltage today before starting and retesting.

    Surging Idle Help!

Just got my top end rebuild completed a week or so ago. Fixed a lot of vacuum leaks and other known issues. Car is stock with the exception of a cold air intake and exhaust. Having said that.... the car runs amazing at driving speeds and anything above idle. Has no throttle hesitation or any...

Almost done the top end rebuild. Should fire up next week to get the timing right. Then we will see about some paint work.

    Fox Water Pump Help

Car also had an out of balance harmonic balancer and the wrong dipstick tube. Many of the lower intake bolts as well as the timing cover/water pump bolts were loosened to the point that I spun a few out by hand.

    Fox Water Pump Help

Just a small update. Figured out the lower manifold gasket was causing a massive coolant leak. Ripped the top of the engine off and started from scratch with every gasket and bolt. All bolts replaced are ARP and got the best gaskets I could find for everything. Along with all of this I got the...
