Looks like the "tab" in the aftermarket piece is shorter so it probably rides on top of the rivets, hence no notches. Should be ok .

The metal bracket on the body stays and the lip of the ground effect slides behind it , iirc it was a pretty tight fit , careful not to mar the paint. Those pieces on my 93GT had notches cut in them were they slid around the rivets on the body mounting bracket , yours look a little different...

I was running a spectra distributor on my 393w but I replaced all the internals with Motorcraft parts, never had an issue.

Just for reference I installed a 93 Cobra booster on my 93 fox with a stroked 351w ( 393 ). Had to clearance the shock tower with a 3lb sledge a little more than I was expecting but it's doable . That and a lot of cussing of coarse. Not sure what the difference for you will be given it's going...

Some engines like a little more timing some a little less, factory was 10* but most of these cars seem to perform better between 12* and 14* (this is all spout removed ) I would pull the spot and set it for 12* , spout back in and see how it likes it. Once you get the timing set, which will...
