Old Dog Here Back For A Visit...i Come Bearing Cool Videos!

Look up NASA (National Auto Sport Association) they often do driving schools to get licensed and you can do time trials all in your own car. Very cool stuff!

Old Dog Here Back For A Visit...i Come Bearing Cool Videos!

Whats up guys?? As you can see from my registration date, I've been around for awhile, but it's been some time since I have been active on here. I decided to come back to my old stomping grounds here because I just started this new job at a Mustang performance shop a few months ago and thought...

    Exhaust Catback

I wouldn't waste the money on a full cat-back at all. The stock pipe is 2.5" and flows plenty well, all you are gaining is the sound from the mufflers. The power gains from changing a cat-back or axle back on a 2005+ GT are minimal to none so don't spend all that extra cash on a cat back. Axle...

Electrical Battery For My 08 Bullitt

I recommend going to Ford and getting a Motorcraft BXT series battery. 100 month warranty and free roadside assistance. I used to work for a dealer and we sold them for $109.95. Might vary elsewhere.

    Fuel When I Pump Gas

It's a venting problem. The vapors inside the tank are displaced by the liquid fuel going in and need a place to go. The filler pipe has a vent but it may be clogged. This is most likely if you don't have a check engine light on. If the vent solenoid on the EVAP canister gets stuck the symptom...

    Advice on this car...

I was thinking of offering him $2000, maybe I will say like $1800 because that hole is so wide open that the insides of the frame rails could definitely be bad. It's winter so now is the time to get to work!

    Advice on this car...

According to the seller, the rust has not gone deeply into the rail itself, its the sheet metal of the strut tower that is bad. I hate rust too, but the rest of the car seems too good to pass up, considering the price. Of course if it wasnt for the rust, the car would sell for a bit more $$$...

    Advice on this car...

Hey guys I haven't been that active on here lately, mostly because I haven't had a Mustang in almost 5 years :notnice: but as you can see by my sa-weet red user name, I have been around for quite awhile. Ten years flies by, let me tell ya. Anyway, I am slowly working myself back into a...

how do you tell a 99-04

They come out  The car could have been hit and not had them re-installed, they could have been removed, who knows. They all came from the factory with them, though.

how do you tell a 99-04

He is referring to the special edition anniversary package which was a limited run of cars with the specific options that he listed. All 04 Mustangs have the 40th anniversary fender emblem but that does not make them anniversary cars.

how do you tell a 99-04

I can see from your Avatar that you have a Spring Edition 2000 GT which was essentially a 99 35th Anniversary with different striping. Forgot about those in my little write up. That's why you have a hood scoop. It became standard on all GT's in 2001.

    Few pics of the daily.

I shoulda held out and found a Marauder...then my 03 Vic wouldn't be on my front lawn with a For Sale sign in it. Then again, that would have meant driving my tired beat 97 CVPI for as long as it took to find a Marauder...eh the P71 wasnt that bad, "coulda had a marauder" 4v > 2v You can have...

how do you tell a 99-04

ASSUMING nothing has been modified cosmetically... 1999 can always be identified by the 35th anniversary emblem. 1999 Cobras had MUSTANG debossed in rear bumper, SVT COBRA badge on left side of trunk. The 99 35th anniversay edition had a hood scoop and side skirts that would show up on all GT's...

    5.0 shutdown on me

This would be a terrible decision as the depreciation hit has already been taken. A few months ago the car was purchased for somewhere around 35k, and is now worth less than 30. Any reputable dealer can replace the engine and have the car back to 100%. As for loaners/rentals, etc... The...

    Your stangistory? What is it?

I was thinking of a 2010 GT for awhile but they still fetch good coin even though the 5.0 came out and ripped the 4.6 a new one. I'd like a nice black or white 05-09 GT with the red leather and 18" fan blades...then KB it and enjoy life.
