    The Boosted Pony Lives!!

Looking good, man! I just got my engine to the machine shop and am waiting for finances to even themselves out before I can pay for it. Have you tried power-shifting that thing into 2nd yet?

    Another piston Q

I dunno if you should use flat top pistons...wouldn't those create higher compression?

    Engine running like hella crap

LOL, thanks for the advice. I've got one of those spring loaded tensioners which I don't think can be adjusted. Besides, the engine didn't sound right before either, so it couldn't have been that.

    Engine running like hella crap

It's the mass air meter. I unplugged it, and now it rips off the tires (figuratively speaking).

    Engine running like hella crap

OK here's the story: My alternator recently died on me. It drove home just fine. The engine had the usual acceleration that it had. After changing it for a new one, my engine suddenly had absolutely no acceleration power at full throttle. So, figuring it just needed a tune up, I changed the...

    Why I'm going with a V-6

This is the dumbest statement i've EVER heard.

took a GT owner for a drive.

You will NEVER beat an LS1. It is touched by the hand of God, and no Mustang can ever beat it.

took a GT owner for a drive.

 That's how it is for me, for the most part... I actually got to take a ride in a stock XR4Ti 5spd a while ago. It was before I became interested in 2.3 turbos. Damn that was a nice car, and it pulled really nice, even at like half-throttle. That car might have been the catalyst for my...

Let us discuss turbo Mustangs (all welcome, especially turbo gurus)

Here are some things that will get your 'Stang romping the streets much better: - 255lph fuel pump - Full 3" exhaust system - LA2/LA3 computer and big VAM - adjustable fuel pressure regulator (I like my Kirban) - AT LEAST an E6 manifold (I would recommend a Rod, Stinger, or 40Bob one...

    05 dyno sheet

Yes my friends, CAMS will work wonders for this motor. It's kinda the same way with the 2.3, once you port the head on it. I have a feeling that most OHC motors are like this.

300HP? Thats It...Whats wrong with Ford

I think what the n00b is trying to say is that he would like the OPTION of something higher than 300hp. 300hp for the base GT, and then something maybe bigger as an option package, just like the old days. Still, 300hp is quite a bit. I sure would like to get that out of my 2.3 turbo project...

    07 Cobra information, specs/prices/due date

Horsepower does NOT equal 1/4 mile alone. We all know that the Cobras are fat pigs, and that the stock chassis is crap when it comes to traction. The 4.6L SOHC 3v motor putting 275rwhp down isn't anemic if you ask me. Then again, you are used to 429ci+ big blocks, so... And don't hate on...

Car and Driver Review- 05 Stang vs. 05 GTO

Despite the poor english, this poster has wisdom far beyond the GTO whiners. I would hope that the GTO has a better interior and more power than the GT, because it costs about $8000 more! No, the Mustang didn't get beat. Maybe in performance, but not in looks. Oh, and did the GTO beat the...

Oh, wow! That's new to me. I stand corrected.

Car and Driver Review- 05 Stang vs. 05 GTO

Agreed. Here is what I think: 1) A Poor Product: mainly looks. I think it's a nice looking car, but like everyone else says, it doesn't stand out. I read in Motor Trend, however, that the interior is nearly BMW-quality. 2) A Product With Problems. Haven't heard of any major recalls...

A buddy of mine is wandering whts the easyest way to get 400RWHP out of a 2.3T?

I'll answer these as best I can: I think you mean the wastegate. Most cars don't use blow-off valves stock, and they aren't internally installed in the turbo. If i'm not mistaken, both MikeSVOR and Brantley are using the HX35. Pretty simple. Just weld it onto the intercooler piping...
