    Stang traded in...

I had an 04 and loved that truck. Do yourself a favor and drop those wheels, they are heavy and make the truck clumsy over bumps. I was more conservative and got 18's with some road biased rubber and it made a huge difference when it came to mpg's, ride quality, and noise levels. It helped a...

    Wheel Price???????

All you can do is start a little bit higher than what you want to sell them for, that way if you get "talked" down, the other peep will think he is getting a deal and you are getting the price you want. Wheels is a tough sale when you start getting in the $850 and up range (where I think you...

Ways to drop weight on car

Coilovers will also drop some weight along with lightweight wheels. K-member and A-arms total savings depends on which manuf. you go with. Seats would be the next big thing, and if you are really looking at getting picky, go with the aluminum shortblock the Explorers come with but since you...

    Light weight wheels

Chrome 18" should be around 24lbs then, and keep in mind that the stock wheels are 17x8 and most aftermarket 17" wheels are going to be 17x9. Check out this thread with on going wheel weights to help you out: http://forums.stangnet.com/285393-official-wheel-weight-thread.html

    Light weight wheels

Think some of lightest wheels around (that won't break the bank) are the 5-star GT wheels. Think they come in around 17lbs. The Cobra's are 24lbs and the Steeda's are 21.5 if I remember right. My BBS's are 21lbs which seems to be about as low as you can go for sub-$200 per wheel.

Saleens or 03 Cobras for my Mystic?

Looks-wise I would go for the Cobra's, but having had the Cobra's already all I can think of when I see them is how heavy a wheel they are. So depending on what wheels you have now, expect a difference in acceleration, braking, and handling....

    99 -04 VS 05 - 08 ?????

stock eh ..... If I was wanting to take on another payment, I'd get myself into an 05-08, but then I'd have to start the whole process again. In terms of 2v's not making power, that's just simply not true. Sure they are valve-challenged, but given the right choice of mods and a good...

    Went to the track

Well maybe I'm just not following what you are trying to get at. I don't see how figuring out his rwhp at say sea level has to do with the rwhp he is making in his home area  . More than likely he was dyno'd and tuned in the same area he is racing in which means if the dyno sheets are...

Well its time for some new wheels

Well if you want the BBS wheels, but not a huge price tag, go with the RX's instead of the RKs. Mine were $500 shipped for the set and I think they look great. Edit: Ended up getting them from...

    Went to the track

But in this case he isn't trying to figure out the difference in two different track times/trap speeds. All runs were done at the same track which means regardless of the track's parameters or elevation his car is making the power to achieve 105-106 traps or 102 depending on the wheels at that...

    Went to the track

His 102 trap speeds are with the FR500's, his 105-106 is with the stock wheels and mickey's ;)

    Went to the track

Well you are running the trap times to hit high 12's to 13's no matter what elevation you are currently at. Get those sheets, and what your shift points are currently and try to eliminate things as they come....

    Went to the track

That goes to show how much wheel weight can play into the power issue. Do you have dyno sheets we can look at. I'm willing to bet you are shifting at the wrong parts of the powerband, which to explain what's going on. I would have to assume the S2000 had some decent power mods to pass you...
