Must be the common thing now. My wife's '08 Miata has no spare, but on of those kits with slime & pump. It sucks. By dropping the weight I'm sure it helps their CAFE standard.

If I remember right, the new V-6 has more HP than my '06 GT. If I were to buy a new Mustang, I world seriously consider a V-6 with the performance pak. With a lighterfront end and the good suspension pak, it would be a great road car.

If you'd see regular sequential and chase side by side - you'd choose chase. It just looks better.

The only kit I know of that offers the chase feature is Meter4it.com. I have had one installed in my '06 GT 'vert for years and I love it. The beauty of this kit is that by changing a switch you can have Chase, reg. sequential or factory. The reg splice in kit is $155, the partial plug & play...

I went with the Koni STR.T. Very happy with handling as well as ride.

Save your money. Not only no gains, they don't filter nearly as well. Use your paper filter & change it once in a while.

Is there any particular reason you don't want the Ford gears? If the 4.10s are too much for your purpose, 3.73 is a good compromise. I had 3.73s in a 2000 GT and it was a great ratio for most all types of driving. 3.73 is very close to 3.89. :nice:

That's tough to answer. I suppose noisy is subjective. Now myself, I would not want any noise, that's why I am staying with my OE 3.55 gears. I'd love 4.10s, but I won't chance a noisy install.

I think all you have to look for is a Ford 8.8". It doesn't have to be especially for an S197.
