Thanks for the reply! Do you think driving the car like this a short distance would damage anything that isn't going to be replaced anyway with a clutch swap?

Here's my story, sorry in advance for it's length! The clutch in my 89 notch is a bit on the 'old' side (close to 10 years since it's been done) - It's a Motorsport HD clutch, with an aluminum quandrant and adjustable cable. Other than a really stiff pedal, it's been working fine - no noise, no...

Check the ground strap on the block - had a very similar (weird) problem and that was the culprit....unfortunately I found out after multiple batteries and alternators!

73mm here, and no problems at all in the 4 years I've had it!

That sucks man, but you got off pretty easy..Happened to me twice before I got pins, and it wasn't pretty..Really smashed in the metal next to the cowl, and totally destroyed the cowl itself..(Along with damaging my Cervini 4" cowl)..I definately sympathize!
