    98 cobra cooling issues

I battled overheating issues forever ... I ended up finding the same thing out. I actually replaced my plug with a "factory rebuild" kit. You get a new plug that's prewired, etc. .... but it ended up taking a dump a 6 months later as well. Looks fine, but would not always cut the fan on...

    96-98 cobra upper intake

All mentioned above will lower torque in the low to mid-range power band...a lot. HP will go up slightly in the upper range, but not worth the loss in torque if you aren't going with some sort of forced induction.

    Cold Air Sensor

Kinda, but no. Cooler air is more dense, thus, the engine can handle a higher degree of timing. The ATS is a simple thermistor that converts the temp reading to a voltage reading. Based on this voltage reading, the pcm will add timing at cooler temps. The resistor / Ebay POS will modify...

96 cobra cooling upgrade/ temp guage

Also, to answer the other part of your question, go to the dealer and have them pull an OASIS (sp) on your vehicle. This contains the repair history for your vehicle for repairs performed at any dealership. You can see if any of them did the fix.

    Painting Calipers

I did the same thing, but I just used model paint. Heat is not an issue with callipers....everyone thinks it is, but it's not. Model paint worked for me. The sand paper is the ****zle on the letters...made them look new again.

    Air/Fuel Guage reading

Those gauges are nothing more than "go/no go" gauges, but you definately might have a serious problem. The reason I say that is that the ALWAYS go full green under WOT. If yours is not showing this, you may have a "no go" situation. Get that sucker on a wide band and find out what's going...

    UPR Tach Mount

It's an excellent alternative to drilling....it mounts with the a/c control bolts. BUUUUUUUT...don't buy it from UPR...there's a guy on the Corral and here as well that actually made those a few years ago. UPR out and outright stole the design since the guy didn't patent it. Try a search...
