Just when I was reading the title I was thinking 05+ Subaru Legacy GT. They are pretty bad cars. The 2.5 turbo motor is stout, they look good. There just isn't anything I dont like about them.

My 07 has 30,000 miles of hard driving on it and hasnt been back to the dealer. Original brake pads original everything except tires. No squeaks or rattles. Very very solid machine.
I cant answer your questions about the gaser so much but if you are wanting to hot rod a truck look into a New superduty with the 6.4 diesel. Low 13's with just a tuner are pretty easy
I love my car too, It doesnt get driven now though because the roads are nasty with snow and ice, but the gravel and salt they put on the road is the main reason. I just turned 30,000 in it with no rattles. I love the interior in these cars.
