I was able to order one from a local dealer for sticker price. Picked it up last Tuesday - sweet power, handling and sound. I'm already signed up to take her out to Superfest at VIR in May. I can't wait to see what this thing will do on the track!

Saleen makes some good pieces and $4500 - $4800 seems like a decent price. The power also seems on par with all the others out there (including KB). I got weirded out as to what was happening with the company though - wasn't sure they'd be around all that long. Have they recovered and on the up...

SVT said that the vents on the hood of the show car are not functional. They will be on the production car. Hot Rod mag got it wrong.

Which one? I'm not going there when I get mine! The two dealers that I've talked to in the area say that they're going to mark them up - one said around $2K and the other said at least $20K (not going there either)!!!

What after market Cold Air Intake Kit (including KB's) doesn't have a bend in the tube just before the MAF?

We'll see how long the stock stuff lasts and then I'll build up a engine when needed (all part of the risks of getting a blower). The tunes pretty safe so I bet that it'll last a while, but I'm sure that at some point I'll be buiding another engine.

Nope, not detonation. It was a problem with the dyno. Dyno Dynamics dynos can give those readings at 112 mph because a circuit card vibration (or something like that). Anyway, DTP had their dyno fixed in between my first run in September and now.
