    T5 Transmission Door tag codes.

Hi Guys, I'm searching through the junkyards to find a T5 Transmission, and I was wondering if anyone had the door tag codes for the various Transmissions used in the 80's & 90's. I was expecting a single digit like in the old days, but the few I looked at had about 5 digits...

    Mach & Mustang Font names

I'm putting together some car show signs for my '72 Mach 1, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the names of text fonts that would match, or come close to the ones used for the emblems and decals of 'Mustang' and 'Mach 1' in '72 Also if anyone had an electronic image of the...

    A Pillar trim removal

Well, since no one seemed to know, I had to go by feel, so here's what I found: The A Pillar trim in a coupe actually extends most of the way to the back of the door. Start at the back, where there is a 'Stab Clip' between the A Pillar trim, and the rear trim piece, whatever that's...

    A Pillar trim removal

Hi I'm looking to install a fancy Autodimming Mirror with Compass &Thermometer in my 06 coupe, and the wiring requires I take off the Drivers side A Pillar Trim. I polked around a bit last night, and didn't find an obvious way to remove it without wrecking it. Any pointers ?

    Anyone running locked out timing?

A Couple of things... I think people are too quick to run out and spend a lot of dough on fancy ignition systems when you don't know the full capability of what you have, or could have with some junk yard upgrades. #1 To my knowledge, ALL ford vacum canisters are adjustable. you just...

Where can I get a vacuum diaphragm?

Pretty much all ford solenoids are adjustable. Just put a small (7/32 I think) allen wrench down the snout.

Help with Accellerator pump on Holley 750

Guy's, I've been mucking with the accellerator pump on my Holley 750 on a relatiely stock 351 Cleveland. I have the Holley manual, and altough it says that the cams can be replaced to give larger, or sooner shots, it gives no information. I looked at a bunch of cams from other...

Total Mechanical Advance on a 72 Q Code

That makes sense to me, but I'm just having trouble lining that up with the original equipment, which would be 6 initial, 26 total. Could you count all that up against smog equipment ?

    What is this?

And I think it vents the gastank, so if you do chuck it, do something with the hose.

    What is this?

It's not rare. It's on all 71-3's and newer cars as well. I can tell you that the Foil hose attaches to the aircleaner just between the snorkel and the PCV Breather

Total Mechanical Advance on a 72 Q Code

Well... that supports my theory so far. The Specs say that my engine started life at 8.6 to one, so it should be ~38 to 40. Yet the factory setup (Assuming that points distributer was the original)

Total Mechanical Advance on a 72 Q Code

I've been cleaning up a '72 Q-Code engine to put into my '72 Mach 1. which was rebuilt and bored out .01, but is otherwise pretty much stock. Rather than screw around with the points, I'm putting in a Duraspark unit from a '74 Torino. I had the new distributer all apart, and was going to...

    Holley Carb Idle Question

Maybe your problem is a vacum leak. That can cause a fast idle. check your PCV Valve and hose as well as power brake hose. Then take some carb cleaner and spray around the base of the carb. If the engine bogs down, you have a leak and the cleaner is being sucked in.

    Thermostat Vacuum Thing

Your description is a little foggy, and you've got us guessing, but here's a little input: - If your distributer solenoid has two ports, the one on the 'nose' goes to the 'Spark Port' on the carburator that is above your butterflys. On a Holley, that port is halfway up the front metering...
