    Bleeding brakes

i would drive it to the nearest shop and have them bleed the system for you. in fact it would bea good idea to have them flush the old fluid out of the lines and replace with fresh. that way you dont have to worry about the old fluid contaminating the system with debris.

    1965 mustang wheels 15x7 15x8 ???

yes tire size does affect fitment. go too wide and they rub, same with too tall. personally i prefer the same size tire and wheel on all four corners as it simplifies things, including what to use as a spare. i prefer full size spares also. so my advice would be to use a 15x7 wheel with a...

    1965 mustang wheels 15x7 15x8 ???

back spacing is an important issue here. as i recall a 15x7 with 3.75"- 4" back spacing fits fine. with the 15x8 you need to go to 4"-4 1/2" back spacing. there is a wheel fitment chart you can search for.

Donor car options for v8 conversion?

i think that when you actually add up the cost of parts and labor to convert to a V8 from a six, you will find that the effort isnt really worth it money wise. even with a donor car. remember that even with a donor car you are going to be rebuilding/replacing parts, and that costs money. check...

351W hot and making me crazy.

the first thing you want to do is check the timing marks on your car. it sounds like your timing is way off. find TDC but not with the marks on the balancer. once that is done THEN check the balancer and see where the marks line up. and go from there.

Looking for mod options for newly acquired '66 Mustang Fastback

the very first thing you need to do is sit down and make a plan on what you want from this car, and what direction you want to mod the car. then set a budget, start with what parts and labor are going to cost then triple that budget and you are good to go. once you start, stick with the plan...

Looking for mod options for newly acquired '66 Mustang Fastback

ok first stiffen up the chassis. subframe connectors, export brace, monte carlo bar, zray crossmember, add in torque boxes, add in stringers to tie the subframe connectors to the inner rocker panels, add in also the cross support that ties the two sides together into one rigid structure...

8.8 swap in 65 coupe brake problem

assuming this is on both sides, you need a wider rear end. however if this is on one side only, then you made a mistake in centering the rear end.

    Engine swap? Or engine upgrade?

if you stick with the six, you will have to adapt a four speed auto as there isnt one that bolts to the six cylinder block. there have been people that have adaptefd the C3 bell from an inline six to a four speed auto from a ranger or explorer, or a four cylinder fox body mustang.

    200 ci Inline-6 with headers

to a point i agree with you. but cutting off the intake log is radical surgery, and then you have to fab up an induction system. there are less costly options though, two or three carbs on the large log intake makes for a nice airflow increase. tuning can be a bitch though. if you like EFI then...

    200 ci Inline-6 with headers

the problem is though that no US ford small six has a removable intake. the aussie 250 2v, and the argentine 188sp are the small ford sixes that have removable intakes. well along with the aussie crossflow six and others. the issue though is that just adding headers and even dual exhaust on a...

    Progress Thread 1967 Inline-6 mustang father-son project

s for the speedo being off, first thing to do is check the condition of the driven gear at the end of the cable. at this point in its life it is probably worn out. that or someone just grabbed what ever gear was available without checking if it was the right one first.

    72 Project

start with the chassis suspension and brakes. taht way when you are ready to install the drive line, you can get the car on the road that much quicker. however, i suggest that you sit down and set up a plan for building this car. what do you want from the car, what mods are you wanting to make...

    200 ci Inline-6 with headers

hey anytime you ask a question, you can elicit responses like this, regardless of the question you ask. but more and more people are getting into the inline six community because you dont see them as much these days since most people would "just swap a V8 in", since they have the "if some is...

    200 ci Inline-6 with headers

yes there are a number of things that can be done on a budget to get more power from the inline six. swapping a 250 and building that is one thing you can do. select a good cam for the engine based on what you want from the engine. clay smith cams are available from vintageinlines.com, and of...
