Another vote for 99's. They're a bargain these days and have tons of potential. It's true that the 01 seats are better but as someone said earlier, the 01's are starting to get up towards used 03 price territory.

If you want that big V8 rumble and don't mind the drone around 2000 rpm, go with the Flowmaster. If you're worried about the drone (bothered me), go for the Borla or Magnaflow.

Congrats. Welcome back from the dark side. Start with an air induction system and a cat-back. People are getting huge gains from just those changes. Pulley would be good next choice.

Wondering whether the Roush ratings are rwhp or crank hp. How do they run at the track compared to an '03 Cobra? :shrug:

Personally, I'd go with the sonic blue because it's such a sweet color and was only offered in '03.

You might want to try 10-40 first. Definitely shouldn't need anything heavier than that.

1990stanglx - I have a 99 with the magnaflow cat back. Stock H pipe for now. Great sound. Almost no highway drone. Very nice at WOT. Will be adding an MRT catted H soon just to make it a touch meaner.

Why did you need to use the e-brake???

Seems a bit excessive. Not familiar with the Vortech PCV routing. Where are the PCV connections on the vortech system?

I think 285 is a bit too much for a 9" wheel. I have 285 Kumho MX's on a 10.5" wheel and it looks good IMO. I've had 275 KDWS on the same 10.5" and it did not look good.

What's the best bang for the buck after exhaust?? Am installing a Magnaflow catted X and cat-back. For the next mod, am considering C&L 80mm, Steeda pulleys, extrude honed manifold, or shorty headers. What have you guys found to be the best place to start??

No way those two bumpers are the same part number. Go after them again and make them throw in the 03 hood!

Go for #2. Should be no problem to sell the FR500.
