$$$$$ in tow fees, or fix this thing?

yeah i been there and i pretty sure i know what your problem is... first off you need a new starter solinoid, and what ever ignition you have hooked up you need to change the hot wire feeding that to a key on power source instead of only having power to it when you are in the start position...

Has anyone had problems with camshaft endplay???

Well when you pulled it down, was the cam thrust plate broken? Were the bolts that hold it on alright? Did the cam move forward any? Was the timing chaing top sproket still attached to the cam? We gotta figure this one out!

Has anyone had problems with camshaft endplay???

Sounds like to me that YOU forgot to install the camshaft trust plate!! Maybe you were in a hurry to hear that beast come to life????? Take your time and learn from your mistakes. Small errors can be costly! Hopefully that was what happened and you don't have anything else majorly wrong...

    t5 experts come on in!!!

yeah everthing is the same, use the v8 bellhousing and clutch kit and you will need a pilot bearing for a 1992 Escort GT, bolt it all together and keep your fingers crossed. Don't hammer on it too hard and it will last. You'll love the first gear!!!! Have fun.:flag:
