Installing Infinity Kappa 2-ways - ideas for xover mounting?

Hey Guys, I'm installing some Infinity Kappa's in the doors and deck lid. Looking for some ideas on how to mount the little crossovers inside the doors. What have you all done? Any pics?

    oil pressure guage in 05

Yeah. And the fact that there are no markings on the gauge means that even if it did move, it'd be pretty useless anyway. I was just being optimistic and hoping they did something with it.

    oil pressure guage in 05

You're incorrect. The gauge does NOT indicate real pressure. The term "sending unit" is generic and can apply to a switch or analog sender. If you don't believe me, go look in a car. It's nothing more than an idiot light. The "sender" is a switch that grounds out at 6psi. Anything under 6psi...

    Alright I'm New..But got a story

Holy crap, leave the kid alone. Don't be so damn quick to judge people, just because your parents have money doesn't make you a spoiled *******. My parents had no money when I was younger, and couldn't have bought me even a $400 Tempo if they wanted to. But if they had've won the lottery one...

    oil pressure guage in 05

Exactly. The "gauge" in Mustangs isn't a real gauge at all. It's just a switch. As soon as your oil pressure hits 6psi, the "gauge" sticks at midpoint and doesn't move at all. That's not a real gauge... it's basically just an idiot light.

    oil pressure guage in 05

Agreed. Could someone who's driven one comment for sure?

    oil pressure guage in 05

is it just an idiot light like the previous model? or did they actually spend the 50 cents to use a real pressure sending unit instead of a cheapo switch?

    Someone Please Clarify

You can't make gross generalizations like that. No one can sit here and say "the pistons are good for this much" and "the rods are good for that much" power. It's just not that simple. There's 400 proper, reliable horsepower, and there's 400 bad, dirty horsepower. Bad tune, too hot, too lean...

how easy to remove gt fog lamps?

Best advice here. Wait a month or two until some V6er comes along and wants fog lights. He'll give you his grille plus a hundred bucks for your grille with foglights. He goes away happy, you go away happy and with a hundred bucks in your pocket! :nice:

    Info on future V6 engine

What you wrote doesn't apply to the Mustang. I agree that Accords and Camrys are wiping the floor with Grand Prixs, but we're not talking about family sedans here. We're talking about the Mustang, which is an entirely different beast. Indeed it's probably one of, if not the only car left on the...

    Info on future V6 engine

Wow, that was the biggest trying-to-sound-smart post I've ever read. It's all cost and marketing. Nothing to do with technology. There's no market for a high-output V6, without cannibalising V8 sales. If you want performance, buy a V8. If you just want to look good in a Mustang, get a V6...

    V6 turbo kit

:stupid: There aren't really any turbo 'kits' out there for the V6 Mustang. At least not in the sense that you buy a supercharger kit from ATI or Vortech or whatever. There are guys that have turbo setups, but they're usually very highly customized and fabricated. Unless you're really...

    Spark Plug Knock ??

Yes, there was a TSB for 99-00 V6s relating to oil seepage through the PCV system resulting in knock under load. Ford's official fix is to replace the valve cover (expensive). Most guys around this community either delete the PCV system (cheaper, but not emissions-friendly), or install their...

I notified my insurance that i own a GT now rather than a V6...

The reason insurance payments are so high now has very little to do with the cost of your vehicle. The rates are so high now because of ungodly settlement payments for injury. It doesn't matter if you're driving a car only worth $1000, you can still hit someone in it, and have them sue you...

    The unthinkable has happened

Yes. Diesel does not burn well at all at only ~9:1 compression that it sees in a gasoline engine. Diesel engines typically use compression at least twice that to achieve ignition. Diesel is very thick, oily fuel. Because it's so thick and oily, it can badly contaminate the fuel system of a...

    The unthinkable has happened

Go buy a big gas can full of regular gas. Open up the fuel rail somewhere, and position a catch can of some kind near it so you don't spill diesel everywhere. With the rail open, turn the key to RUN, but don't crank it. The fuel pump will start to pump and try to achieve good fuel pressure...

My V8 crank & rods are done...

Yeah the server I host my pics on is down for maintenance for today. It'll pop back up tomorrow. :) Pretty sure I'll go with a fairly standard dual-plane intake. I had originally intended to use GT-40P heads, but from the flow numbers I'm able to find so far, it looks like ported stock 351W...

    302 V8 conversion

The stock T5 manual in the V6 is rated for 260lbft, and I believe the stock auto is slightly less, but similar. A 331 will make 300-350lbft. The stock tranny and rear will hold out "for a while". But that's about all that can be said. Exactly how long "a while" is depends on how hard you beat on...

Need help...can't shift out of PARK to DRIVE

I agree, brake pedal switch all the way. Something else to bear in mind is that if the switch is intermittently failing, then you may be driving around at some point and your brake lights may cease to function. That can be pretty dangerous if someone behind you is on a cell phone or sipping...
