    Today's sealing and gasket technology.

the perma-dry gaskets are awesome for sure and I would use one of those on the oil pan. the old paper gaskets are good enough for the water pump and timing cover though i do like to use a little permatex copper spray adhesive stuff on the faces of the parts that can be removed such as the back...

    Ford reintroduces the 1965 Mustang

depends on which 69 you are referring....the stang or the coug? still trying to sell the stang, well actually just sitting on it right now waiting for the market to come back, and the coug is sitting around waiting on me to get enough money to start building it. how's yours coming along?

    Steering upgrade question

just a personal opinion here, but i would looks heavily toward the Ididit columns. i have heard horror stories about the electrics and the cast tilt pieces in the FR column, though that was a few years back, can't say i've heard anything lately but i'm rarely on the computer much anymore either...

IRS on a 1970 Mustang Fastback

there are actually other options as well. you could use the kit that is based on the original mustang T-5 IRS concept that was done in the early 60's for the Falcon and adpted to the 65-66 stangs for shelby to test, they diecided against it because it didn't make the car any faster on a race...

Does anyone have cragar 500 Series Eliminator wheels stuffed under their car?

these wheels were pretty popular in the sixties and were the basis for the shelby wheels, although these were around before the shelby wheels. a lot of magazine test cars back in the day had these wheels on them. I have aome really old car craft and hot rod magazines with a lot of Ford test cars...

    68 mustang 429cj?

personally I wouldn't notch the towers, however I would reinforce them with the Pro-Motorsports reinforcement kit. althogh if you only shaved the top of the towers and reinforced those areas along with the P-M kit that reinforces the towers in the area of where the upper control arms bolt up and...

    Rebuilding an Autolite 4100 carb

rebuilding a 4100 is a piece of cake as long as you pay attention to the little details. I will say that you should probably get a rebuild kit from the Ford dealer, they still stock them or can get you one pretty quick. that said I used a bunch of different kits to get all the pieces I wanted...

Optimus Prime - The '68 Coupe

I like to use camper shell topper weatherstripping, you can get it at just about any parts store like autozone or advance, etc. it's closed cell foam with a rubber coating on the outside so it won't absorb moisture and rust the the door frame like the original stuff did. it comes in a roll...

    Retrotek Purchase

ok, that's a new feature apparently but i don't think the FAST EZ-EFI system has that ability yet either. i personally have always wanted one of the holley projection systems or a BG VFI system or better yet a BG VFI throttle body with one of the holley commander 950 computers for a relatively...

    Retrotek Purchase

i just double checked holley's website and this is what it said about the avenger EFI system and this is a direct quote from the holley site.... :nice::nice::nice::D:D:D:hail2::hail2::hail2:

    Retrotek Purchase

holley also has their new avenger EFI system that is slef learning as well and i believe it will also run the ignition system too which, AFAIK, it's the only self learning system that will do that. i could be wrong about the ignition part but i'm fairly certain i read that about that system.

    Borgeson Box install

yeah, I'm curious to see how well it works too. I have one out in the garage for my 69 Cougar, I still need to get the rag joint from Borgeson and I haven't decided what PS pump I'm gonna run either, hopefully I'll be able to make the stock pump work right with a pulley swap...Anyway, I'm really...

    Free Flowing Quiet Mufflers??

i'm planning on running a set of the Dynomax "Hemi" Turbo muffs on my 69 Cougar. they are basically just a regular dynomax turbo but they have a good bit longer case, about 4-5" longer IIRC. might be a tight fit but shouldn't be a problem. alternatively, you could run a late 70's cadillac...

hmmm, well when you're ready to ditch the TCP parts let me know, i'd definitely might be interested in buying them from you. :nice:

    new with custom suspension

what are you using for strut rods and most importantly ,for me anyway, where did you get the front mounts for the strut rods? they look very much like TCP pieces.

C5 PBR calipers on a 70 disc spindle

i have not attempted it and most likely won't. i've pretty much decided to just stick with the 4 piston lincoln/t-bird calipers on LTD rotors up front and the big 11x2.5 drums out back, and it's still going to be quite a while before i'll be able to that.

4 Point Seat Belt without Harness Bar?

yes you're correct but those belts aren't designed to bolt into the factory mounting points, the Corbeau's i posted are designed to use the factory 3-point mounting locations.
