I have this happen on occasion to mine, however, I have an aftermarket camshaft in the engine so the computers always trying to "hunt" for the proper idle and in doing so, bounces up and down until I straighten it out with a push to the gas pedal.

Maybe your MAF is messed up? You running a K&N filter in that car? I know the filter oil is known to gum up the sensitive MAF wire sensors. I'll be taking apart my air-inlet tub this weekend and cleaning mine out with some electric cleaner and a Q-tip.
