    Terrible Squealing Noise

    I just rebuilt the motor after having it apart for a year, switched cams, got the heads ported, etc. But it developed this squeek right before I took it apart when it blew the head gasket.

    Tensioner still looks good. Im gonna throw a new belt on tomorrow and see if it helps, but the belt is getting a little torn from rubbing the alternator pulley wrong.

    yea, none of them feel loose at all, I dont see why its wobbling.

    all fluids are good all pullies spinning freely belt nice and snug tensioner is quiet but the belt is riding a little left of what it used to, its also wobbling a little when it runs...Im thinking loose pulley, maybe alternator.

    Theres a loud sqealing noise coming from the driver front of the car. It gets louded with higher RPM, I thought it was the belt, so I sprayed some dressing on it, but it didnt help at all. What else could this be? Loose pulley?

    NOISY transmisson......

    I have a tremec 3550 5 spd, and when its in 5th on the highway, its really loud It sounds like metal bouncing around and the sound comes right fromt the shifter. Any ideas? Thanks

    The pedal will stay in the upright position, its just very weak, almost no tension. It did it after driving and coming back to it

    Clutch has been in for over 2 years, just put the top of the motor back together, clutch was fine, all of a sudden it went soft, wont work at all now, cant even get it into gear. What could this be???? Someone said the pressure plate may have collapsed.

    I am posting this here because its a lot more active than the power adder section. Which blower do you reccomend for a 5.0 Im thinking of selling the nitrous and going to blower. Ford Racing makes one with 6-9 psi for 1799, How good are they?

    Ok, Im gonna give the 180 out thing a shot. Would it work if I pull it out, turn the rotor 180 and then drop it back in and see if theres any difference

    I just got the motor back together and now it wont start. Fuel pump is turning on, spark is gettin to the coil, firing order is right, but it just cranks with no effort to start at all. ANd it will backfire now and then. i have a new cap and rotor, still no luck

    Awesome response, thanks...I have one more question now. Im still learning how to do timing and all that. How do I determine when Im at TDC and how to I set timing, I already have the whiteout mark, you shine the gun down, pull that cap, but how do you know how many degrees you are at

    OK I called around to some shops in the area and they are all around $700 to get new rings bearings, and clean it. So im gonna try that Marvel Mystery Oil and clean it up myself, any suggestions on how to do this or how to remove some of the rust

    Well, with my mods in sig, before the porting and cam swap it made 290 to the wheels.... I have the same heads and intake as him, no way hes making anything near 450 ill say 345
