    how to determine if lifters are bad (already out of car)

    Hydraulic roller lifters do not exhibit the same "wear pattern" problem like non roller lifters. I would replace them just for the sake of not having to do it again later though.

    Mine doesnt run out of steam until 5800 and runs 115 mph 1/4 mile. If I had the money to blow I would get the edelbrock but It was the last piece and I needed to get it on the road, so far I have been thrilled.

    Possible to pass Emissions w/o smog pump?

    Yes it will pass the emissions test, mine did, just not a visual if your state does it. Luckily they are doing away with our testing next year. I just threw a good catted h-pipe on and ran thru the test no problems.

    Put a short belt on it, get some drag radials and work on getting that 60 ft time down below 1.85 and you should be close to 13's with what you have I think.

    347 n/a untuned stock chip, running rich @ 11 a/f ratio, and emissions legal net results 319 rwhp and 359 torque It will be around 355-365 when I get the tune and chip.

    Battery relocation - where to run pos cable

    I believe you only have to have the sealed units if you rare running a hatchback. It keeps the battery fumes from getting inside the drivers area.

    Line Lock won't hold my car???

    You know it seems like someone would make a kit to go with the Hurst Line lock with brake fittings and pre-bent lines and package it for Mustangs. I have heard it is a real bitch with the motor in the car to run these correctly? Anybody care to comment?

    WHAT KIND OF BRAKE PADS

    Buy some performance black ceramic pads from PepBoys or Advanced Auto(I forget the brand name). I have them on both my Mustang and Expedition, no more brake dust and I feel much better braking, especially on the Expedition.

    fuel rail leaking? or injector?

    When you have a leak at 38-40psi you know it in a hurry, gas should be allover the place. I just about burned my car down starting my 347 for the first time. One of the rails cam loose and allowed the injector hat to come unsealed....yikes.

    If you cant go custom, which I recommend highly, then call tech support at compcams and give them your specs and have them recommend one of their off the shelf cams. Save up another 100 bucks and go custom.

    anyone out there hitting 11's naturally aspirated?

    WHat kind of suspension do you have to get that 60ft. time? Slicks obviously. I have to dump it at 1500rpm and then feather it all thru first to just get a 1.9 with drag radials.

    Pretty sure they are 5/8 x 11. The only problem is that 5/8 x 11 bolts at the hardware store start out at like 1.5" long. You need to cut them down shorter to get them to tighten up and not stick out the back of the head.

    The two in the back are the ones you plug. The ones in front get the provided thread adaptor inserts for your accessory bracket bolts. I dont think my set of 185's came with plugs for the thermactor ports in the rear, I had to go to the hardware store and get two short bolts the correct size and...

    high pitch constant noise coming from around the driver side head area!

    If you have an aftermarket throttle body like BBK or Edelbrock or Power products you may have a high pitch noise like that. Mine is the throttle body and it sounds like it is coming from the drivers side of the intake...Big Time...sounds like a tea pot.
