1965 Mustang Fastback for future project & sand blasting discussion. Anyone welcome to input

This is how mine is plumbed also. And it works very well, I just need to add an electric valve where that av186 is, right now mine is manual and I'm not quick enough to shut it off, it dumps a ton of sand every time I stop blasting.

Automatic to a 4-speed questions please

Aerocoupe, if you still have those toploaders, they seem to be gold right now. I shopped for a few months to find one on the east coast that didn't make my geester pucker. they could be your retirement money...:nice:

    changing a 1967 3-speed to a 4-speed

Hey old man, nice to see a couple of us are still alive. What's your current project? I've got 2 left in me. A '66 F-175 4x4 Mod and a slightly modified '55 T-bird, then I'm gonna drive-em 'til I die.

    changing a 1967 3-speed to a 4-speed

I've driven a crapload of toploaders over the years, and love them. I actually just cut a deal with a guy for a wide ratio that I'm going to slip into my '55 T-bird to replace the 3 speed. With the wide ratio the first gear is lower so I can go with a higher rear and get thee top end a bit more...

    Selling the last Mustang.

Gentlemen, there is an extremely long story on this '68 coupe, basically it's been around the family and never completely restored. It was sent to me about a year or so ago and I don't want it and @ '70 I'll never get to it to restore. I have 2 more projects to complete and then I'll be dead. I...

    Top loaders and OD

Ya found the GV unit, but it is too large to fit in my '55 T-bird, so I have a different plan, going to try and find a wide ratio top loader and swap the rear to a 9" with 3:10's, ;should give me about 67mph @2500rpms on 28" tires. Does anyone have a wide ratio they would like to sell or trade...

    Top loaders and OD

Have a toploader out of a '68 GT, are there any choices around to add OD. Been away from cars for quite a few years was hoping something is now available. It's actually going to end up in my '55 T-Bird.

Automatic to a 4-speed questions please

You need a lot more than just the trans. And if you have a shop find it for you , you will pay a fortune. Also4speed top loaders hold up pretty good, so it will probably be fine without rebuilding. Source the parts yourself. You need a pedal assy, a bell housing with clutch arm,a flywheel and...

New here. Was left a 67' Mustang 347. Ready to go down the rabbit hole but don't know where to start.

If' your thinking 4 speed there are more than likely plenty of parts cars around, nobody buys standards anymore, except me of course. All my cars are stick except my Falcon, and there hasn't been anyone at an inspection station in years that can drive any of them. I have a complete setup for a...

    electric fan won't kick on

It may be 2 bad units, after all quality control is a thing of the past. However it just may be the engine is not hot where the fan switch is, or it is losing pressure and can't get to 220 degrees to trip the switch before it boils over. Could be as simple as a bad rad cap or a pinhole leak...

66 Mustang blows accessory fuse when ignition is turned on

Well, I'm no amateur my friend, but the quickest way to figure it out is to cut the wire, yoou can splice it with soldier and a piece of heat shrink if you need it back. If you want to do it the hard way buy one of these, they do work but they can be a pain in the ass...

66 Mustang blows accessory fuse when ignition is turned on

If the white wire is NOT on the diagram it was probably added by a previous owner, the quickest way to figure out where it is going, is CUT IT OFF, and see what doesn't work. It may not be used at all. Why aggravate yourself? These cars are simple, don't make it complicated. :-)

Gentlemen, I need a bit of help from you guys, I have a '65 Econoline pickup that needs a smaller bumper than it came with and from memory my '71 stang had a fairly straight and low profile bumper in the front. Gentlemen, I am looking for an upgrade on my '65 Econoline pickup, it has a stock 200 with a small ,8.5" clutch. 65 Mustang-Upgrading to a power booster dual MC

Depends on who you are, but I have a CJ7 that came to me with 4 wheel drum manual brakes, it weighs less than your Mustang.
