    no compression after lashing valves

As always, you guys have come through in fine style. The valves were not seated and therefore all the compression was flying right outta the top end. The valves are lashed correctly now and everything is good. Thanks a lot ppl!!

    no compression after lashing valves

I'm attempting to find out why after lashing my valves, the engine has no compression.. or at least it seems. Before lashing the valves and cranking the engine in the correct rotation, you can feel the compression.. no problem. It takes lot's of force to rotate. However, after lashing the...

HELP: Manual fan switch for track use

Is that while the car is on or off? After we do our run, we want to pull in the pits with everything off and still be able to turn the fan on.. high or low? In other words, it sounds like we would have to wake up the CCRM in order to supply power to the fan in a stock configuration.

I'm pretty sure it's the old Actron model. The module almost looks like a Nintendo game cartridge. :D

    Actron Ford Module?

Does anybody have an Actron Ford module for sale or is willing to rent it for a week or so? We have the actual scanner and cable, just not the module. In my current predicament, it would really make life worth living. Thanks!

    Weird engine temperature

It just seems interesting that this problem has only presented itself since we removed the JMS chip. The programming for the chip indicates fan comes on at 185*. Perhaps the ECT was feeding the chip false readings or the chip was collecting engine temperature from a different source?

    Weird engine temperature

Okay, in this case, you're right on the money. When we turn on the A/C the fan is on and doesn't turn off. As soon as we turn the A/C off, the fan turns off and remains off. For all intents and purposes, we unplugged the ECT, started the car and the fun runs no matter what. Does this help?

    Weird engine temperature

yeap, the highspeed fan is working. We've proved that when putting the EEC into diagnostic mode.

    Weird engine temperature

We have an issue today where we've removed the aftermarket chip and now experiencing an overheating problem. However, note that when we turn on the AC/heater the engine begins to cool. We've also preformed the poor-boys diagnostic and pulled, what we believe is code 33 (EGR opening not...

    estimated inches of mercury

Yeah know, I haven't checked the PCV valve. The last time I looked at it, the valve would continuously pop out. Could this be adding to the problem?

    estimated inches of mercury

I would say that you're absolutely correct. However, it looks like I've forgot to mention that I have a JMS custom chip installed.

    estimated inches of mercury

The main reason is the throttle sticks when I come to a full stop and after about 2 or 3 seconds, it returns to idle RPM. It seems like one of the symptoms of a vacuum leak. I've gone through the basic routine of cleaning the MAF, IAC and adjusting fuel pressure and so on.. I just remember...

    estimated inches of mercury

Hmm.. maybe I have a problem here? My throttle is sticking when I come to a stop and then it slowly returns to idle RPM.

    estimated inches of mercury

Can anybody estimate how much vacuum (inches of mercury) I should be getting with an E303 cam, TrickFlow heads and the stock Cobra intake? I hooked up the vacuum gauge yesterday and found 15 inches, steady. Any ideas?
