EFI Wiring question - almost there!

If I remember right: "Power", to a lead that has 12 v all the time that the ignition switch is on. "Run" to a connection that has power when running but not starting (the radio lead worked for me). I ran "start" from the starter lead on the ignition switch. And "ground" works best wired to...

    Thinking about restoring a Falcon

Don't know what YOU win, but the Falcons (which were laughed at by the Europeans) placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd (there were 3 of them) in the Rally!! My own first new car was a 63 1/2 Flacon Sprint (260 and 4-speed, hardtop). [The only time Ford designated a car as a 1/2 year - caused lots...

T-5/5.0 in 65 What headders do YOU run?

I used Flowmaster headers. Good, but ground clearance leaves a bit to be desired..... They sound great with the Thrush mufflers.

5.0 into early model look in here!

I mounted a tube on the side of the oil pan on mine. Had to fabricate the angle mounting bracket. The info from red65 sounds like a better idea to me.

    Brighter Instruments

Thanks for the info. I'll check out the bulbs. I should have noted that the lens, bezel, bulbs, etc., were all new. I really don't want to lose the green tint ot the lights, that's part of what makes a '65. Has anybody tried bright white LEDs? The headlight relay is a good idea, too.

    Brighter Instruments

It may be my 64 year old eyes, but I am having trouble reading the dim dash lights on my '65 at night. I have a new headlight switch, so I don't believe it is a problem there. Does anyone have info on brighter bulbs for the instrument panel?

    JOIN NOW!!!!

That was wierd! It changed my address from South Carolina to NORTH Carolina! It still says "NC" on the photo (not the correct "S. C." that I typed in). Strange that it would read an "S" as an "N".

EFI Pedal Pictures: Does anyone have any

I used a '70 pedal and a Lokar cable from Southern Rods. Working great, and a simple-enough setup for even me.

FoMoCo suing companies using "Mustang" in their names???

They will have a problem with the Shelby part. Carrol Shelby owns his name. Plus there are several companies in Shelby, N. C. with the town name!! :o) Plus the ham radio club there puts on the famous Shelby Hamfest every year!

    Alignment problems

Absolutely correct. The car MUST be at normal ride height to do alignment. Find another shop. Period.

    6cyl to V8 Please don't yell

I not only went from 6 to 8, I went from carb to EFI. Absolutely the way to go... wouldn't have it any other way!! I say go for it - you want all the suspension and stuff new anyway, so upgrade as you replace.

    Exhaust tips!

Take a look at mine. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2346195 The angle cut chrome 2 1/2" tips I bought at Pep Boys. The angle works out just fine. Keep them about one inch from the valence for best looks. Email me if you would like more pics.

    66 Door Shells HELP!!!

With the problems you list, especially with the grain sanded off the interior, I would recommend that you try to find some Ford doors from parted-out cars, rather than trying to fix yours. Restoring the grain pattern on the inside is darned near impossible.. There are a couple of vendors on...

    carbon fiber

I have a carbon fiber graphic on the taillight panel of my Mustang. Looks great, and it's easy to apply. You get the look without the cost. It's available online. Check it out at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2346195

    where are all the mustangs?

You will see mine at cruise-ins only, no shows. And it's not a poppy red with white interior, either. It's a bit different. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2346195 Reason: rules at shows. Mustangs are just too bloody fun to drive... no trailer queen here!!

    5.0 EFI Swap Question

Mine would not crank until I connected the ground wire (which I had overlooked). You also need a really good ground strap from the motor to the frame. If it's missing from a new harness, Ford should replace it.

    cars movie

Great movie. Best way to see it is in a "stadium seating" movie, during the day in the middle of the week. Lotsa kids there, but they were so wrapped up in the movie (as was I), that they were no problem. Not really a kid movie, lots of adult references, especially the Route 66 and...

Debating between cable and hydraulic clutch

I went with mechanical linkage on my T-5 (and 5.0) conversion. It works great, and is maintenance free (which is a good reason to do it, plus excellent clearance for headers), but if I had it to do over again, I would go hydraulic, hands down (based on my experience with two Firebirds with...
