Eibach Pro-Kit or Ford Racing M-5300

B Springs I've had the FRPP B springs on my Mustang for about 2 years now...they're great all-around springs in my exp. They get rid of the SUV look, provide a subtle forward rake and work fine with the stock suspension equipment. Handling improves, but you can still go over speed bumps...

Anyone know where to get valve covers for a 2V GT?

What kills me is that Ford has a ton of great looking 5.0 covers, but NONE for the 2v 4.6. Certainly Ford could have managed ONE in the nearly ten years' worth of 4.6s in Mustangs...

    interior light wont go off

Same here. My '02 just started doing it as well. Intermitant though. I removed the dome light bulb for the time being, but I'm told a good lubing of the door switch will do the trick...

    confused....

I'd go for exhaust. Best money I've ever spent on my Mustang, grin-factor-wise. The Bullitt/Torque Thrust D style wheels are very attractive, esp. with the car's other retro styling cues, so why replace? But the stock exhaust just doesn't do a pony car justice. You could probably do...

    I'm old, fat & lazy

I've recently become a fan of Turtlewax Platinum Ultra-gloss liquid wax. Goes on/comes off quite easily. Mix of carauba and polymers. Has very very slight cleaning abilities (i.e. it's definitely not a cleaner wax, but it's also not just a pure glaze-type wax). It's said to be Turtlewax's...

    Floor Pan Grommet?

Thanks! I'll get a pack for my hood pin install. Post some pics of your 'stang with the hood pins, if you get a chance. I'm always interested in seeing how they come out when you do them right...gives me more confidence for doing mine... :D

    Outstanding. Appreciate it!

    Floor Pan Grommet?

Did anyone ever figure out the Ford part number for those grommets? I'm looking to do my hoodpins this spring, and like the idea of covering the welding/adding a bumper. :nice:

    GhostRide the WHIP!

Hey, even David Byrne did it on the Simpsons...while singing the salsa version of "Everybody Hates Ned Flanders"... :D

anyone ever do any auto Xing?

Where I live, we get the same temperatures in the summer, plus humidity. And people walk the course. Not everyone does, but there's usually a decent-sized herd. But sure, you're totally right. Nothing wrong with taking things slowly the first time(s) out to learn it in lieu of a...

anyone ever do any auto Xing?

Solo Racing is half mental, half driving. If they allow it, walk the course beforehand as many times as you can. You want to have it in your head as much as possible. Identify the best route through the gates and the correct apex points in the turns. Also, when walking, squat down to get...

    My First Auto-Cross

Good luck. I'm sure you'll be hooked; with your setup, you'll probably do quite well and turn in better times than some better cars. Just remember: find the right apexes, slow in, fast out and be as smooth as Billy Dee Williams...

New Daily Driver pics. A Ford of Course

They're sharp looking cars. :nice: I'd love it if they offered a manual transmission option with the V6 model. Would be quite a nice "bargain basement BMW"...

    Anyone with FRPP Hood Pins

Beat me to the punch...I measured mine as well, and yep, 2.5" in diameter (with 7/8" hole in the middle).

    Anyone with FRPP Hood Pins

At least with the FRPP pins, yes. The pins themselves have screw threads (and accompanying nuts) so they can be raised and lowered as needed. :nice:

    Anyone with FRPP Hood Pins

Scuff plate is about 3 inches in diameter, if I recall correctly. I'll measure mine tonight when I get home to be exact. :nice:

    Anyone with FRPP Hood Pins

The pin itself is about the size of your index finger. I have a set of the FRPP, but don't have it with me right now...

    stupid question - hood pins??

Thomas91169...any full-size pics? :) To me, the sheer amount of time/effort it takes to install real hood pins (correctly) adds a significant non-rice measure. I've got an FRPP set that I'm debating installing on my stock hood. I run my Mustang at track days a few times a year, and at...

where can i buy a racing helmet??

Yeah, I could well have it backward. In any event, I'll broaden my comment just to say that M and SA helmets are designed for different purposes...definitely go with an SA one if you're doing autosports. :nice:

    All chevy show???

A Ford Tempo?! Jeeze...Ford moved past those more than 10 years ago. I don't think you can even find them at used car lots anymore... Contrast this with the even more ancient Chevy Cavalier, which was finally put to death only last year (and I'm sure plentiful on the dealer's lots)
