decision made on mods, what do you think?

Check ebay. I sold a s-trim kit on ebay for $1500 a couple of months ago. I've seen some used procharger kits with intercoolers for decent prices. Just check it up once in a while. Good luck!

decision made on mods, what do you think?

All those bolt on's metioned above, for the price you have to put out for the parts and labor you can purchase a nice used blower with all the supporting mods. Trust me, I know. Then you can expect 340-350 rwhp. Your car will also be a better investment with a blower than just bolt-on's.

Bassani full exhaust - plz come in

Around here luckly I havn't been visually inspected by a cop. If you were to get pulled over and they were to look under the car to see that you have no cats, you will be cited. Then you would be visually inspected by a smog ref. Other wise if you do have cats welded on the x-pipe the cops...

Bassani full exhaust - plz come in

I failed miserably!!! Had to replace the stock h-pipe to pass. It was said that I will pass smog with cats, but visually I wouldn't. I will have to smog again in december, then I'll purchase cats and have them welded on the x-pipe.

Bassani full exhaust - plz come in

If you have the older style x-pipe, I would consider selling it to get the 5 piece interchangable x-pipe that comes with the strait pipes/cats or else you can chop up $150 bucks to cut x-pipe and weld the adapters to the x for the headers to bolt up.

'99 gt wheels VS. '05 Gt wheels. Differences?

The 05 GT wheel tire size is 235/55/17. I'm pretty sure you can cure the off-set with wheel spacers. But why go a less wider rim?

    sound between o/r and cats?

In order to be loud, you have to move! That's the way I think of it now. Stick with cats until it's heavly modded.

    96-98: What's your temp at?

Depending on the mods you have on your car, it'll affect the engine in a certain way. I have chrome bassani mid-length headers and that probabably causes more heat than stock manifolds or coated headers and underdrive pulleys reduces the cooling with the water pump, along with other spinning...

    High flow cats???

I'm sure there's high-flow cats out there that are legal. I was once told by a exhaust shop that theres no such thing as a high-flow cat, the bigger the cat, the better the flow.

    Octane Booster

I like the NOS brand octane booster. I use the off-road formula. Gives a nice kick with 91+ octane with advanced timing.

    Redline on a 99+ 2v

My 1998 gauge has a 6000rpm redline. With the new motor the power lags off at around 5800rpms, where my old 1998 motor would lag at 5500-5600rpms.I think Ford got the tach gauges reversed?
