Powder coating front hubs/ removing bearings??

I have always known them to be a sealed assembly. I cant imagine the powercoat temps would be good for the bearing. Plus you couldent repack the bearings as there sealed. I have no idea how you would be able to do that. Also, why do you want to do it...is this a show car or something?

What fluid SHOULD i run in a stock 8.8?

I dunno about the synthetic gear oil. I can tell you I have been running it for 4 years no problems. As far at the friction modifier...I ran out of gear oil just short of fill up and so I used 2 4 oz. bottles of friction modifier to top it off. Plus the gear oil supposedly had friction modifier...

    Finished the interior conversion

If your looking for cheap seats the summit/jegs seats are an option. Or corbeau is another cheap option...they have a new microfiber fabric available too and its SWEET!:D Its like the alcantara inserts on the 03-04 cobra seats.

    Painting underside of intake?

Maybe it helps on a drag car motor that is run for 30 sec. at a time. I mean every little bit counts to them. But as mentioned before about conduction, there will be no benifit to you once the car warms up.

What was Ford thinking when they put together the rear suspension?

I would rather you start with a MM PHB and TQ arm. You will see a tremendous difference in rear grip. The system can be optimized later with proper springs and new LCA's but getting rid of the rear uppers is the best improvement you can make. Our stock triangulated 4 link system is badly...

    I HATE SNOW!!!!!

I dont mind the snow, its keeping my clutch from coming apart until I can replace it.....just get a snow brush and go to it before you cover it. ANd or maybe a trip thru the drive thru carwash before covering.

    Alaska bound!

Yes a block heater is a must...I have no idea where to get an aftermarket one though. Dont forget snow tires. You will prolly need studded snow tires.:D Make sure your running a proper coolant mix, dont wanna crack the block. Thats just a few of the things I can think of off the top of my head...

Battery cables for relocation. And Other Questions???

I have a kill switch under my rear bumper...but I also run my + cable under the car. Also, I ran the wire from my battery to my starter, then put the original wire that went from the battery to the starter (under the hood) on the power distribution box. That way you can get away with a shorter...

    need new tranny

I would look around....t-5 parts are cheap and very common. I think you could rebuild yours nicely for a couple of hundred dollars. Depending on how many gears are chipped and how badly (whether they need to be replaced or not). I'm sure your dad would know tho since he does this for a living.

Owned. Heads lifted. Pics inside. :)

Maybe its time to get some new heads Wes...11's for sure. Sorry to hear about it, but it sounds like you were expecting it. I guess its better than not expecting it. I'm glad my kinda racing doesnt involve getting every last bit of hp out of the car.

    STRETCHED CABLE OR TRANS??

If you have a firewall adjuster....you can tighten up the cable to see if that helps things. And or if you have a adj. cable you can tighten it down at the fork. Or if you have a stock quadrant you can try pulling up on the clutch pedal as that adjusts the stock quadrant for cable strech or...

    BBK headers and H pipe

If you pull the tranny yourself you can prolly get it rebuilt for like $300-$400 +parts. Expect to spend about $200 to be the longtubes installed.

what do you do for the snow?

Snows not that bad. I might try and do an ice autocross this winter on a frozen lake in michigan. And yes its a real event held by certain car clubs (forget which ones right now). If I like it, my racing season me last the entire year.:D I'm not one to pamper a car but I do maintain it...
