That sound is what my car was missing since I bought it new. People are shocked :jaw: when they hear my car. Thier first question before I pop the hood is usually when did I put a built 302 in it :D

I've have many vehicles, one being a 93 2.3 ranger that I bought new in 1993. I had a employee who lives a long distance from my shop who drove it for about 40,000 miles in the mid 90's without a oil change! ( wouldn't reccomend it) he put a quart in about every 5000 miles and we did'nt change...

It seems every system is fairly quiet at Idle. Not enough compression or cubic inch. Mine didn't start making noise at idle till I put my cams in. My idle is set around 950 :D

Amen, 14lbs is way too much tire pressure, 10lbs is a good starting point!

I've had my car for 2.5 years, only 6K very hard miles on her. It's hard to figure gas mileage when I'm usually slideways going through the gears :nice: Seriously, my guess would be about -5mpg's

:eek: T&J has my rev limiter set at 6500 rpm but I'm sure mine will pull past that as the car is on the limiter in a heartbeat in 1st and 2nd gear. Maybee I'll have my rev limiter raised and have a better excuse for my lovely wife for a new shortblock when this thing grenades :nice:

Is the front end pretty quiet on the street with the stock struts? I'm with you on the gears as my car traps at 106 at 5400 rpm and the car pulls strong to 6500. What RPM are you pulling through the traps?

I for one feel the pipes are worth $220. I own a business and have plenty of money (not to brag) and have spent 10's of thousands of dollars over the last 20yrs drag racing. I've paid top dollars for parts at times that weren't worth a hoot! I ordered the pipes at a local speed shop, opened...
