why is my car slower than my friend's escort

Wow, alot of bashing on the vert automatics...they're not all that bad. I got mine to run an even 13 in the 1/4 without the nitrous & mid 12's with an 80 shot. Your stall converter & shift kit are fine. I think you may have some other problems if you can break the tires loose or beat an escort...

    Wheel Opinons

Just looking for some opinions. I'm thinking about getting new wheels for the Mustang. I think that the Billet Centerlines I have might be looking a bit dated. I like the look of the 17's but they sometimes rub. I think that 15 inch Welds might be better & won't rub. The car's not a daily...

I need Advice for new hood ’89 fox.

Cervini's heat extractor hood on my car Trust me, just go with a Cervini's hood (any Cervini's hood)....the fit & quality on everything else pretty much sucks & you won't be happy.

WHEEL HELP GUYS, the new guy

Looks like you already have a set of 17inch Cobra's. I'd keep those & if you want something to hook up at the track get a set of 15inch Draglites or Rodlites with some sticky tires. Use your 17's for every day use so you don't eat up the tread on a set of drag radials

WHEEL HELP GUYS, the new guy

Depends, how do you plan on using the car. If you plan on taking it to the track, 15's with some sticky rubber will hook much better than 17's. If it's just mostly a street car then I'd go with 17's. Post up some pics of the car.

    WHAT IS YOUR MOTOR COMBO

Mods are in my sig. No dyno #'s but it ran a flat 13 at 106 without the nitrous in 1/4 at Beaver Springs.

    Is this right or not?

I can get some photos of the inside later. S&W makes an 8-point, I just didn't put 2 of the bars in. If you go to the site. click on roll bars & cages on the left, then click on 8 point bars, then click on ford products. Page 2 3rd from the top is the 8-point for the fox convertible.

Stalling after a long drive?...any ideas

No problems in the higher rpms.....like I said, the car runs perfectly normal on the highway & while idling in traffic & it'll take off like a raped ape when you get on it even after driving it for over an hour. As long as I don't shut it off. It's only after shutting it down after the long...

Stalling after a long drive?...any ideas

It will crank, start, idle rough, put it in gear & it stalls. Let it sit for a while & it start up like there was no problem.

Stalling after a long drive?...any ideas

A strange issue just started with my Stang. After a long drive (about an hour or so) if I shut the car off, I cannot restart it unil after it has cooled off for a while (say 30 to 45 minutes). It doesn't happen on short distance drives only if I've been driving for a while. No signs of a problem...
