    Disc brake help

So what you are telling me... is that I have to cram the big end of that isolator into the hole in the spindle. Like in the first picture... only to the right a little? and of course, inside that area? The newer looking metal in that picture is the caliper. That hole has threads in it. The...

    Disc brake help

1969 Mustang. Doing the drum/disc swap. Went to throw my calipers and pads on last night, but I am held up by one problem. I can't figure out where these rubber dealies go. Found out this is not a Granada swap... these are from a 1969 Mustang. Figured that out when my calipers didn't...

    Let's talk disc brakes...

Actually, BIG help. But, I think I found where the confusion is coming in... Check these pictures out... look in the end of where the rear of the master cylinder is supposed to be attached. Is this normal? I have yet to see the end of one of these in a photograph. ~castrol

    Let's talk disc brakes...

Pictures added. On one end, there is a screw, on the other end there is a large bolt. I added some pictures in the previous post as well. Let me know if it is better that I host them instead of attaching... ~castrol

    Let's talk disc brakes...

Yeah, that is pretty much it. I'll snap some shots when I get back to the house. From memory, that looks like it. Only problem... there is only 4 holes in it. Not sure about the donor car. I bought the parts from a guy here on this board, just can't remember who...(its been a while) There is...

    Granada swap problem

So that master cylinder works... good news. I have a non power brake, 69 coupe going from 4 wheel drum to front discs. The guy at the parts house couldn't find a master cylinder for non power, disc front. He ended up giving me a Power M/C and told me to see if it would work. If the one you...

I am in the process of doing my disc brake conversion on my 69 Mustang Coupe. I have the spindles reassembled with new rotors, new calipers, and new, braided brake lines. I am installing a new, disc brake master cylinder, but something is throwing me off. I have the proportioning block...

    GOT REV'ED BY A SRT-4

Good thread guys. One of the few times that there have actually been civilized posts about this little car. The respect is very much appreciated, let me assure you. This little car still has quite a way to go, clawing its way up the respect ladder, and the little 16 year old punks whose...

    Pics of my POR-15'd trunk

Yeah, I have the same question... what did you use to clean the trunk prior to applying the POR? Air sander? Wire wheel? Looks absolutely awesome and you give me hope for my trunk space. :D ~castrol
