Ac Only Blows Out Of Defrost

Also check the vacuum line that runs across the top of the firewall in the engine compartment. Mine broke, and caused the same problem.

    Hawk Brake Pads Too Thick

Same thing happened with mine. The Hawk pads were too thick. I had to sand them down quite a bit before they would fit over the rotors. It turned a simple brake job into an all day affair. I hated those pads. They stopped on a dime, but made a lot of dust and squealed like a pig. I got sick of...

    03 Gt Needs Attention

I always put dielectric grease around the cop boot where it touches the head. It should help keep water out of the plug well.

    Backfire

I had a similar problem years ago with the original alternator. Most of the time it would start and run fine. About once a day It would start, pop real loud from the exhaust, and immediately die. At first I thought fuel pump. That's what my fox body did when the pump went bad. I did some...

    Creaking brake calipers

Yes, it came back. I ended up swapping the positions of the inboard and outboard pads, and they stopped creaking. I assumed the pad with the shim was the inboard pad. I guess I was wrong. I have since switched to Akebono ceramic pads because the Hawk pads squealed and dusted so badly. The new...

    2004 Gt Busted Hose

Make sure the plastic nipple on the intake is not cracked. Mine broke off in the hose and shot coolant all over my engine and windshield when I accelerated out of a parking lot. Had to replace the intake.

Coolant Leak Around The Intake Area

They also crack in the back where the heater hose attaches. Mine did a couple months back. American Muscle has the Ford replacement part for a good price. Don't use the Dorman parts store replacement. You will loose performance.

Engine 2001 Mustang Gt - Intake Manifold Coolant Nipple Broke @ 121k Miles

I just had the same thing happen at 143,000 miles. I pulled out of a parking lot fairly aggressively one night and coolant shot up all over my windshield. It was the heater hose nipple that broke. I had to have it towed home. I replaced the intake myself with no trouble.

    Suspension Shocks And Struts

I have the Eibach Pro Dampers along with Eiback Pro Kit springs. I like them. They are firm enough, but don't jar your teeth out.

    Heater Hose Removal

Well, my intake finally decided to let go last night. The nipple for the heater hose broke off and spewed coolant all over my windshield as I was pulling out of a parking lot. I have the parts ordered, and will be driving my fox body for a few days. My question is ...How in the world do you...

    Installing urethane sway bar bushings

I did all of them. I did the main bar bushings one at a time first. Then I took all of the nuts off the end links, and pulled them out. I just replaced the actual bushings and re-used the factory hardware. I read somewhere you can wrap teflon tape around the bar where the bushings go to keep...

Stock Mach Stereo issues (2003 GT)

Try turning it off and disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. It will probably work when reconnected. Mine did the same thing recently, and works fine now.

Getting MM subframe connectors, got a couple Questions?

I was just quoted $700 to install them by a local speed shop. That's with me supplying the parts. Needless to say I will go elsewhere.

    Installing urethane sway bar bushings

I'm getting ready to install some urethane front sway bar and end link bushings on my '02 GT. Should I support the car on jack stands, or should I use ramps? The Maximum Motorsports installation instructions say to tighten the end link nuts when the car is on the ground to avoid preloading the...

    A/c Insulation Foam

I used the black pipe insulation they sell in the plumbing section at Lowes. Be sure to get the one that has a smooth outer surface. They have some that has a porous outer surface, and doesn't look as nice. Plus it would probably collect dirt in the pores. I used zip ties in the factory...
