    No quads hear, oh yeah 1980 straight 6 cars never came with them. Preload when installing ca`s as said and work on that pinion angle.

    If you go cheap don`t expect too much. retainers, springs, keepers, and valves are most likely "cheap" also. Only one way to make good power and it aint the cheap way.

    Which intake should I run?

    I like the short runner intakes for FI 5.0`s, it seems all the intakes let off in the 5200-5800 rpm range even if the cam is good for 6200. The runners are too damn long for any good use :notnice:

    Sounds like one or both intake gaskets may have slid down a little.

    Crappy no name shortie headers, Hey I went 11.68@113 with no name shortys they were summit brand. I did do a little port job on them. Also the stock HO cam will get you to 12`s.

    With a close to stock engine seems 4.10`s would run you out of rpm (power range) at the track. Thats all im saying.

    I do not like the transgo shift kit, and that is a bunch of gear for that motor. The trans will likly not last long without some upgrades, im sure silverfox can get you what you need at click click. My home built AOD is on year 3 and still works fine and I have upwards of 350hp

    C4 vs. C6

    If built right it will last, some upgrades are a must like the #9 bearing needs to be converted to roller and I want to use the broader trans 2.92 first gear planet. No brake for me, I just foot brake it @ 1500 rpm and stab it. As for the AOD thats in my car now a buddy in texas wants it.

    I think 27% is high for a fully rollerized trans, but the AOD does suck up much more hp than most autos. I don`t think c4`s suck, I think built correctly they perform very well.

    Yeah my aod must be killing me, time for a C4. 27% thats a bunch what could I do with that extra 8-10%
