Rhoad lifter has be around for years. My brother used a set in his pontiac. Like what Mustang70 said, Rhoad lifters provides a smoother idle on the hi-performance cam. So basically, the benefit would only be if you will be using a high-lift cam.

I believe it's the compression thickness of the gasket. .041" compare to .039". 1011-2(.039) Note, the part numbers are individual gaskets, so if you need a pair, you'll need to order two. Or just get the set 1006(.039)

I used the grease method too once. Pack the grease into the hole, shove the clutch alignment tool into it, and the bushing should pop out. Hydraulics.
