w/ an intercooled KB, you will exceed a stock Cobra's output. Mod for mod tho, teh Cobra will obviously spank the Mach1 w/o forged internals.

The weight really isn't the cause to disconnect it. When you launch, the sway bar doesn't let your front end torque and lift the wheels as much(less weight transfer). Most people believe your 60' times improve if you disconnect it, and you maybe get a little more if you remove it.

Disconnect it @ the track, put it back together before you drive home. It'll help w/ the launches.

Kenne Bell makes a kit for the 99-01 Cobras, so I would say it would work. the best person to ask is them. As for other options, Vortech, ATI Procharger, Pro Turbo Kits, and Induction Concepts all make super/turbos.

Bassani sent me some obscure directions on the header installs. Your best bet is a good shop manual.

Supposedly the resonator makes the intake less noisy. I did the mod and never noticed a difference. I just hated the ugly resonator.

Well, I've been thinking about doing a full Bassani system on my '04 Mach, but I've heard the horror stories regarding the 4V header installs. In the expert opinions of those whom have done it, can it be done by someone in their garage? I am not a pro, my experience is limited to cat-back...

SS and Firehawks get the SLP suspension upgrades IIRC.

The shaker does pull air, shown by all the dirt my filter collected on the shaker's side. As for a performance boost, I'd say it would be minimal @ best. Maybe it help @ higher RPMs when the engine needs more air...

You might have clogged your fuel filter w/ the crap @ the bottom of the tank.
