    Summit Radiator... pics?

I installed the Summit radiator a while back. you can see pictures at the website in my sig. I spent some time putting it in, but if I had to do it again, I don't think it would take more than a few hours. if you do a search here, you should be able to find some pretty good threads about...

    H&R Sports Springs or Eibach Pro-Kit ?

I'm running the H&R super sports with Bilstein shocks, and I'm pretty happy with them overall. It takes a little while to get used to driving with it lowered, but I rarely scrape these days (just have to be careful!). I've never had Eibachs, though, so I can't tell you how they compare. as...

Installing battery relocate kit today HELP!!!

I'm planning on going from the battery to the starter and then from the starter to the fuse box (ie, just hooking the old positive cable to the fuse box). Since I haven't done it yet, I don't know how well it's gonna work, though. I hope to get it done in the next couple of weeks. oh yeah...

I'm curios, what do the cc plates actually do?

you get the adjustment as mentioned above. plus, they're stronger than stock (especially if you have a 4-bolt version), and the mushy stock rubber bushing gets replaced with something much better (like a spherical bushing in the case of my MM plates). Joe

Wet sand before or after clear coat?

definitely after the clear. the wet sanding is mostly just to smooth out the orange peel surface you get when you spray the clear. it's best to get rid of imperfections before you shoot the color if possible. Joe

    pulleys??

I've got the ASP pulleys, and I run with the stock belt. The belt tensioner adjusts for the slightly different length. as far as cooling and charging issues, the only time I notice any problem with charging is when I have the headlights on and the car is at idle. the lights in the gauge...

    relay position

I had a similar problem recently. It turned out to be the ground connection on the block. I suggest checking the connections at the block and the starter; disconnect 'em, clean up the terminals, and put 'em back on. oh, and don't forget about the small wire that connects the starter relay to...

A dealership should be able to run your VIN to see if you're under any recalls. There may be a way to check it on the web, too, but I don't know of any off hand. Joe

$169 3 1/2 in Summit Radiator FITS our cars!!

Actually, I posted them in a new thread last week... should have mentioned that here, now that I think about it. If I've done this right, the thread should be here: http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=503543 Or if that doesn't work, do a search on 'summit aluminum radiator'. Joe

    Lets Talk Front Brakes

well, I don't think you could fit a 13" rotor in a 16" wheel. the easiest thing you could do might be to get some slotted rotors (same size as current ones) and some high performance brake pads like Hawk HPS. it's been awhile since I priced slotted rotors, but I seem to recall they were...

    Hiding wires??

This is kind of a simple question, but what gauge wire do you need for lengthening those few wires? I used to have a small stockpile of wires of various gauges, but I lost them last time I moved. Just need to know what size to buy. Thanks, Joe

    pictures of summit aluminum radiator

After all the good info I've gotten lurking in this forum for the last couple of years, I'm glad I can finally post something useful. :nice: Anyway, the Summit radiator looks like it's really good quality, and I certainly hope it lasts more than two years. That's one thing ya gotta say for...

No, I know what the fan motor is (I had to replace it a few months ago when the bearings in the old one seized). Although, you're probably right and what I'm calling the CCRM isn't the CCRM. I was talking about the thing that they install for the fan recall (some sort of circuit breaker...

I measured the distance from the water pump pulley to the CCRM, and it is indeed 3/4". The closest point is one of the silver relays (?) on the CCRM (the wiring harness is actually above the pulley). If the CCRM wasn't there, there would actually be about 2" of clearance. If you needed that...

Is this a real boss style wing?

I checked out teamshinoda.com and they only list the 15" super spoiler which looks a lot like the GTR 800 (and also the BOSS 800 just above it). I seem to remember them offering a smaller 10" spoiler some time ago, but I couldn't find it on their site. If memory serves, it looked a lot like...

What's the worst traffic offense you had with your Stang?

My only ticket so far is an 80 in a 65. I was on the Pennsylvania turnpike, came over a hill and saw the trooper sittin' there. He caught me dead to rights, so there wasn't much to do other than just take it. It cost me $130 and 2 or 3 points (don't remember exactly). The one time I don't...

I really can't say. I don't know what the differences are between a manual and an AODE (other than the transmission, obviously  ), and I don't have an AODE handy to check. Maybe someone else knows? Joe

It's maybe not as close as it sounds. The bit that's closest to the pulley is the CCRM (I think that's right - it's the thing from the fan recall), and it sits a little off to the side of the pulley. When I measure it tonight, I'll try to get a pic from an angle where you can actually see the...
