Does anyone know how much it would cost to have a shop replace a convertable top frame on an 87 mustnag convertable? I am not paying for it so I just need an idea of the cost of the frame and all of the labor to get it replaced. Thanks -Tim

There aren't many 5.0 mustangs at the junk yard. but i have seen tons of cougars. Do they come with mass air? What would i need from one of them to make it work? I just want to know if it is possible to do because i will be visiting the junkyard tomarrow. Thanks

I thought that the compressor has a clutch in it that is activated when you turn on the a/c if not...oh well...but if it does it should turn freely by hand. I would check the compressor out because as someone else posted i believe that is the only thing connecting the a/c to the engine.

You could look into the typhoon intake on e-bay its pretty much a rougher casting of the preformer so if you want to save money and don't mind doing some clean up of the runners it might be the way to go. They go for around 290 satin or 390 polished. They would be an overkill on stock heads...

Well if you are planning on getting a whole new engine then buy a 4 cylinder for cheap and convert it over to an V8. You should be able to get one for around 1 or 2 grand and then throw the engine in that. Or you could buy a decent V8 and just have the engine rebuilt. I think the stock...

I think it would be better to measure out a 1/4 mile and time that. i know there are ways to take a quarter mile speed and convert it to an approx horsepower. So do that with the old speed and compare it to the new one and you will get a estimate of your gains.
