NE1 using the Crane Boost retard TRC-2??

The dial sets the number of degees of retard per pound of boost. So if you set it at one, then when you're making one pound of boost the timing will be retarded one degree, and when you're making two pounds, two degrees of retard and so on. If you set the dial at 2, then when you're making one...

    Apple iPod in a Stang

In a month or so Alpine is releasing an interface between many of their head units and the ipod that will allow you to stash the ipod anywhere, and control it from the head unit. And it charges the ipod at the same time. I'm waiting for that.

    87-93 MAF fit 94 GT??

I use a 86-93 MAF on my 94 GT, and it works great. The qualifier is that I don't think it fits inside the stock plastic housing, because it's a slightly different shape, but the electronics and everything are the same.

    MSD or CRANE ignition????

I have similar setup with a 9 pound powerdyne, usual bolt-ons, and am using the crane ignition with the boost retard. I have been very happy with the whole setup. It is particularly easy to set your rev-limit with the crane, just adjust two knobs on the unit for any rev limit you want (in 100...

Help! White smoke billowed from hood!

I need some ideas from smart mustang guys... This morning I tried to start up the stang, the car seemed to start to crank for about a split second, then white acrid smoke started billowing from underneath the hood, more from under the drivers side near the windshield. I cut everything off...

    Pillar Guage Pod Install

It works and looks great as a cover. There is no reason to take the original pillar off, in my opinion. Also, it's no problem to run the electric wires or even vacuum tubing (as I have done) between the cover and the pillar. On mine you can't even tell it's a cover, and you definitely can't...

crane ignition stuff anybody using it

I'm using the HI6 ignition box, fireball coil, and fms wires. All have worked flawlessly, very easy to install, easy to dial in the rev limit you want, easy to hook up an aftermarket tach.

    MAF Conv Wiring Question

My air fuel gauge has always "yo-yo'd" between rich and lean under normal driving conditions. I believe that's normal. At least, I can tell you that there is nothing wrong with my GT. The air-fuel gauge is really only helpful for wide open throttle, where you want to see that it's pegged on rich.

GT-40 Vacuum port question - please help

I'm installing a gt-40 intake on my '94 GT. As many have noted, there are more vacuum ports than needed for our year mustang. Which ports do you plug, and where do you get the plugs? Also, on the underside the stock has two vacuum lines, one large and one small. I can plug the large one into...

    What gasket for intake elbow?

Quick question for those of you with aftermaket intakes (I'm guessing that's about everybody)... what gasket are you using on either end of the adapter elbow? Also, what bolts are you using to attach the elbow to the intake and the elbow to the throttle body. I don't seem to see these specific...

    Intake Install Hurdles/setbacks HELP!!

The original EGR tube frequently breaks when removing it because it's pretty thin-walled and rusts through after about 100k miles or so. My local ford dealership sells it for about $70, but 5.0 Resto sells it for $50.

what are the advantages of a aluminum drive shaft?

Aren't the aluminum shafts larger in diameter tha stock? For anyone running the aluminum shafts: does the larger diameter (if I'm right about that) cause any interference with the exhaust or the chassis?

Can someone explain spark blow-out to me?

I have a powerdyne and I always have gapped the plugs a bit lower because I wanted to avoid blowing out the spark. Somehow it seemed obvious that the blower is pumping out this huge volume of air and it can blow out the spark. But now that I think about it, this doesn't make any sense to me...
