Odd electrical problem...this ever happen to anyone else?

Ok, guys. Here's the scoop on my personal slice of Hell. Turns out that a major wiring harness corroded beyond repair according to my mechanic. :damnit: That's the bad news. The worse news is that it's a dealer piece and the cost of just the part is $325!!! :fuss: :fuss: In addition the...

Odd electrical problem...this ever happen to anyone else?

Having exactly the same problem on my 94 GT. Seemed like the volt gauge needle would move around a bit, and car would shut completely off, usually during low speed maneuvers, like turning around. Loud pop from audio system then nothing. No audio, no lights, engine stalled, seems like the entire...

    Radiator info: Will it fit?

Anyone know if a '96 & up radiator can be used in a '94-'95? I bought one on Ebay that the seller said would fit '94-'98. It's obviously wrong, cause there's no filler neck. I think I'm gonna be stuck with it, cause the seller doesn't seem interested in doing right by me and taking it back (less...

    Help!!! high RPM at idle

Thanks a million, Mo Dingo! It was the coolant sensor. Funny thing is, I had changed that in the fall when I was trying to troubleshoot a stalling problem, so I didn't even consider it. But when I checked the replacement sensor with a multimeter, the reading was in orbit!. Being the pack-rat...

    Vert Questions?

I've only owned convertibles my whole life (I'm 34 now). I'm hooked. You have to expect there will be some trade-offs, such as wind noise, maybe a leak here or there to fix, and others as you become initiated into the ragtop set, but they're all worth it. Nothing like winding through the gears...

    Help!!! high RPM at idle

Ok, guys, changed the IAC valve. The rpms seem to be normal, but it still runs like crap when cold. At least for a few minutes till it warms up. Kinda lopey, like a carbureted car with a bad or stuck choke. Anyone know what could cause this? Also, the fan runs right away, even before it warms...

    2 Problems please help!!!

If you have the original stock radiator, look where the core meets the end tanks. Our rides are notorious for developing leaks at this seal. If that's it, I would just keep adding the 50/50 till the weather warms up enough to change the rad. Shouldn't hurt anything unless it's REALLY bad. Also...

    Help!!! high RPM at idle

Anyone know what would cause the rpms to be high (1500-2000) at idle? Had the check engine light on intermittently over the past couple weeks. Then one night I came home, shifted into park (AODE), and the tach just jumped up there. Couldn't get the speed back down. I have a stock 94 GT vert with...

High idle, stumble on accel, now won't start

Ok, here's the latest... Got the car to start. But it ran very rough for the first minute or so, almost like it was missing on a couple cylinders. Then it smoothed out and the rpms climbed back into the 1500 range. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks! -Mike-

High idle, stumble on accel, now won't start

Hey guys, need a little help here. Have a stock 94 GT vert, with about 83,000 on the odometer. Last night came home, and when I put it in park (aode), the rpms jumped to 1500-2000 range and just hung there. Blipping the throttle didn't do anything. I shut it off, and now it won't start at all. I...

    94 mustang antifrezze leak

Yup. I agree with the others. I currently have a leak, coming from the pass. side of the radiator where the end tank is attached. I jjust keep adding coolant for now, because it's not a job I'm going to do in sub-freezing weather...

    Car won't start

You might also want to check the stator in the distributor. It's the part under the rotor, with wires going to it. Mine went last summer and it took me 3 weeks and almost $500 to figure it out. Drove me nuckin' futs!!! Even the guy at the shop my dad uses for his trucks couldn't figure it out...

    rear defrost

There are 2 metal tabs on the back window that coiled wires plug onto. This lets the rear window move yet still have the electric defroster. Check these connections, that they aren't loose. Also check that these 2 tabs are still firmly in place on the glass. I knocked one off one time when...

    vibration in my car!!

Since there's a mechanical noise accompanying the vibration, I'd go with the U-joints or something of a similar nature too. But I did find out something interesting while researching a different problem I was having. It seems there's a Ford technical service bulletin out there about vibrations...
