What to do with old parts?

A couple months back I put a bunch of new suspension parts on my car. Now I've got the stock shocks, struts, springs, upper control arms, and lower control arms sitting in a box in my garage. I'm happy with the new suspension and don't plan on ever putting the stock stuff back in. I'd hate to...

Stolen 1994 Vibrant Red Mustang GT

Sorry to hear that, man. You can probably forget about seeing it again. I've only ever seen one stolen vehicle recovered, and that was a POS joyride car, not a nice Mustang with lots of aftermarket goodies. Hopefully your insurance will cover the loss and you can find another car for the...

Won 1st place at the big show today!

I saw your car at the show yesterday. Looks great! The white with white wheels looks really good. I thought about going with white wheels on my car but it seemed like it would be a real hassle to keep clean.

    oops...

Oh man. That is SO sad to see all those classic cars hammered like that. But it's not like drag racing is without it's risks too. I've seen PLENTY of cars crash at the drag strip too. A broken axle or oil spot on the track can really ruin your day.

What do you think about these wheels?

I vote for lowering the car the RIGHT WAY and worrying about wheels and exhaust later. The exhaust isn't going to do that much as far as adding power and wheels are nothing without the right stance.

FINALLY got my new suspension installed.

I thought about the springs settling as well. If they do, that's cool. If not, that's fine too. The car is low enough to not look like a 4X4 which is good enough. If it goes a little lower, great. The main reason I wanted the springs/shocks was for the handling, not the look. Although, if...

    SOS Help

I don't think a code puller is going to tell you much. Most of the sensors in the engine require it to be running to get their info. Even so, you don't need a code puller anyway. You just need a short length of wire and the check engine light will do the rest. Will the car crank over? Do...

FINALLY got my new suspension installed.

I've had most of the stuff sitting on the shelf for months and months now. Hell, I think i've had my springs and shocks for almost a year. :nonono: Well, I finally installed everything this past weekend. Friday night I got the new Tokico springs and struts installed up front along with new...

    New Skin for my '85

Your car is gorgeous. I'm a huge fan of the white (my car is white as well). Hopefully everyone will get to see it in person at the Roundup this weekend.

    LOOKING FOR "KILLRB" BRANDON

Yeah, but it's a lot cheaper and easier to buy a stock 5.0 or a stock-ish crate engine to put in than it is to build (and fund) a turbocharged, fully forged engine.

    LOOKING FOR "KILLRB" BRANDON

I think he just lost interest in his car. He bought a TON of stuff and spent a buttload of money to turbo the car. Got halfway done and I guess he either didn't want to finish or decided he didn't want to put that much money into the car. <shrug> I'll second the fact that he's a stand-up...

    OT- Weightlifters

20 rep squats three times per week is probably going to cause overtraining in a hurry. Most of the guys I've talked to that are big into weightlifting only do 20 reppers to get through a plateau.

Damn people how hard is it to check and return PM'S

I think some people just don't have their settings turned on to remind them when they have a new message. <shrug>

any one know of a place to get a new windsheild

AAA Auto Glass (i think that was the name) did a great job with the windshield on my wife's car about a year and a half ago. They were much cheaper than the competition for the exact same glass (Autolite). I have a feeling they can give those cheap rates by hiring low cost labor. The guy who...

Where to go for a heater core replacement?

Here's the article I used. Each of the pictures is a thumbnail to a larger version if you just click on it. http://www.mustangmonthly.com/howto/5652/ Mr. Gone - You'll have to call and get quotes, but I think most places charge a full day's labor for the install. 8 hours multiplied by...

Where to go for a heater core replacement?

It's not actually that hard to do. Takes a bit of time, but isn't too difficult. I swapped out the heater core in my car late last year. Took about 6 hours or so, but it was the first time I'd ever done it. If you decide you want to give it a shot i've got a decent write-up on the procedure...

    Blew a heater hose yesterday.

Yeah, i definitely don't want to do the heater core again. I just can't believe the hose blew out after only about 3 months! The new hose didn't come with a restrictor, and i forgot to take the old restrictor out before i threw away the hose, so i'll probably end up McGuyvering something...

    Blew a heater hose yesterday.

Haven't had a chance to put them on yet. The back tires are a real tight squeeze, so i'm afraid to lower the car until i can put a 1/4" spacer back there. I ordered spacers and full length subs from MM last week. They should be here soon. Thanks again for the hook up. I can't thank you...

    Blew a heater hose yesterday.

A friend of mine bought an '04 Cobra yesterday. He let me take it out for a spin and afterwards i told him i'd take him for a spin in my car. I pull out of the parking lot and get a bit sideways. We both get big grins on my face and i pull up to the stop sign near a pretty long straight. I...
