It really all depends on what you are going to be doing with the car. Both Trannies are very strong. You can get a TKO rated at 600lbs of torque and have real good first gear ratios and tear up the track or get a Viper spec t-56 rated at 600lbs of torque and have a completely streetable tranny...

Yeah I ordered a Speed cal from them and they guy I talked to did not seem like he wanted to sell anything. He kind of rushed me off the phone. Didn't really seem that informative either. I thought it was just me :shrug:

How come at KB's website they says the 1.7 can handle up to 650hp??? If a completely built engine can get those numbers, then I just wonder how KB came to the conclusion that 650hp was the limit????? Or is the 650hp on their site crank HP or rear wheel HP??

So the KB for the 4.6 can get up to 20 psi??? i thought it was only good for about 15 or 16??

The Steeda timing adjuster uses a magnet in order to adjust the timing. you will notice on the end of the arm is a small magnet and when the dial on it is turned timing is varied from top dead center to be advanced or retarded. This is what i have been told. cause i didn't get it either. on 93...

Ok. So how would a Kenne Bell charger hold up on a built, forged, and Stage 2 ported heads 4.6 2v??? With lower compression say 9.0:1 or 8.5:1??? Might be able to get away with the 15 psi pulley on 93 octane???OPINIONS????? Might be a future project..........

I have also read about a Terminator T-56 that is built stronger then the stock t-56??? anyone hear of this???

On a guess though what is the max torque for each tranny??

So what are the max torque numbers on the two trannies???? I have read about the T-56 in a 03 cobra with a Kenne Bell holding up to 700 pounds of torque and also read of a TKO holding the same.

Just wondering which transmission is better and what are the goods/bads and differences between the two??? (Besides one being a 6 speed and the other a 5 speed) What is the max torque each can handle???? :shrug: Thanks

I have the same problem on my 02. And i run 93 octane. my timing adjust helped a little for some reason. I have been to the dealer about 10 times trying to fix the problem and all they do is adjust the base line idle. Which doesn't do anything. One of my buddies say it might have something to do...
