Just how much power does it take to pull a wheelie?

I yank both of mine with around 300 rwhp. Lots of traction and high rpm launches. Stout suspension and frame connectors help. 3000 lbs

SSSSOOOOOOOOO close to a 12 second time slip!

You ain't lying man. I love my 2 step. Yes, launching talking about works great. Just takes a little more effort to blast the tree to hell.

SSSSOOOOOOOOO close to a 12 second time slip!

If you plan on using slicks and you want the clutch to last atleast a little while I would step up a notch. Really depends on what your intentions are with the car. I had the same clutch. Daily driver that see's alot of track use. King Cobra lasted quite a while with drag radials. Started...

SSSSOOOOOOOOO close to a 12 second time slip!

Side stepping is when you engage the clutch by taking your foot off the clutch pedal to the left instead of straight back. It is the quickest way for the clutch to be engaged. The pedal snaps out very quick so make sure you got that gear.

Question about setup! GT-40 Crate motor + more

It dosn't really matter if they were ported or not. That's not the subject. Ya it was with 2.73's. 5 speed. Traction and pounded down the track. I never said it ran 14.0s. It RAN 14.2s. Best of 14.01. :D

Question about setup! GT-40 Crate motor + more

My bone stock 89 Gt ran 14.01@97. I am sure a Cobra motored car would run mid-low13s. With exceptional traction and driving it would be in the 12s. My Gt now runs 11s with a carb and gt-40 irons off a cobra.

Question about setup! GT-40 Crate motor + more

Yes without the Blower the car would be a 12 second player. With the blower hard to say. Depends on application.

Question about setup! GT-40 Crate motor + more

With traction that setup should run well into the 12s. Yes 6-8 psi would be safe. A proper tune would be crutial. AFR's are superior to any Ford Iron head. Depends on what you want.

Need a cam for 306 carb

Yes get the trickflow. If you want to spend a little more a custom cam would be the best way to get the most power.

SSSSOOOOOOOOO close to a 12 second time slip!

Actually the stock cam is not to shabby. NMRA's factory stock run high 11s with that profile. Of course they are purpose built race cars but they still put 300 rwhp + to the tires with a small cam. Even in full weight cars the stock cam performs deep into the 12s with other good parts.

Which Spark Plugs w/ 331, TFS TW and S-Trim

Denso Iridium seems to be the plug for blowers. Hope it helps.

Wow, 392's are insanely cheap to build!!

Are you forgetting that you will have to have it tuned. A nice CARB would be nasty.

SSSSOOOOOOOOO close to a 12 second time slip!

Nice times. Your 60s are OK. Actually they are farely stout for a low 13 second car. I cut 1.60s and run in the mid 11s. Did it spin? I find my ET streets hook the best with a slight SQUEEK of the line. Seems to 60 better. Small burnout for me. What RPM do you leave at. I have an MSD 6...

Estimated 1/4 time and HP with this

Have you been under a rock? The 300 rwhp/3200 lbs thing has been pounded on enough. I argued with someone for 3 days a few months ago about it. There is no point in arguing anymore. That kind of power with EXCELLANT traction and EXCELLANT driver is more than enough to propel a car to the 11s. My...

Estimated 1/4 time and HP with this

Lets assume your car weighs 3500 for sake of argument. If you drive agressive and your car hooks I would say it would go 12.50s with that much power at the pavement. Again very agressive driving and hard launches are a MUST. Traction is the most important factor. If you can't plant that thing...

Estimated 1/4 time and HP with this

When my car was bone stock it ran 14.01@97 on street tires. Full weight. 5 speed. 2.73s. It's not a VERT but it was still a fatty. It's light now. I would say the vert would go high 12s on slicks with VERY agressive driving.

    home made x pipe

3 inch exhaust would not be a good idea with your motor. 2.5 is plenty. I had a custom x-pipe made at a good shop. It was cheaper than any x-pipe out there and it sounds absolutly unreal.
