    Quick question on stretched fenders/quarters

    AFAIK, if it's an early car, you COULD use CAPRI quarters. OR, just stretch yours SLOWLY, it takes 2-3 hours on each side to do it right AND have it "practically" undetectable. Done right you CAN get 10.5W's in there.

    What size bore?

    Rings. Measure the groves in the new pistons. That way, along with the 4.030 bore size, you can get the right ones. They are, most likely, 5/64, 5/64,3/16. Could also be 1/16, 1/16, 3/16. OR, take a piston with when you go to the parts house AND check the fit right there.

    Cleveland headed windsor

    Wrong! 351M/400 engines are NOT Windsor blocks. They belong to the Cleveland family with the extended front of the block, flat steel timing covers, and verticaly oriented fuel pump bolts.

    Can you mount a flywheel wrong?

    Fix it. You are taking a chance that the vibration won't take out the bearing in the waterpump before you fix it. (fan bolted to waterpump, fan shakes=waterpump shakes=kilt pump bearing) Fix it right, fix it once, smile while driving!

    pedistol mount or stud mount rockers?

    Rocker types. Given a choice, always go with stud mounts. Unless, of coruse you're going shaft rockers. Reasons: 1) MUCH easier to adjust, no shims. 2) Stronger, 5/16 bolts VS. 7/16 stud. Don't even think about the 5/16 to 3/8 coversion pieces, they're still 5/16 on the bottom. If you are...
