Temp setting is adjustable between 145 degree's F & 215 degree's F, temp setting knob is the attached to the rheostat, top right corner of fan housing, here is a picture from Brian's web site:

I have one of Brian's fan/controller combo's. When working, it works as advertised, and is a great product, but I will be replacing the controller with something else this summer. Brian repaired the controller last summer, rheostat went bad, and the fan/controller assembly has stopped...

The CARB legality concern was why I bought the kit to begin with. As for the plug change, I've never seen or heard of anyone having to remove the headers to replace plugs.
