POR-15 vs Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator article

I have been using Eastwoods Rust Encapsulator on my Stang and I love it. I buy the gallons and just use a brush. It levels out nice and looks really good. I used it in the trunk and the floorpans. Right now I am using it on the undercarriage/floorpans and plan to use it on a lot more sections. I...

I completed my rewire. EZ Wiring Harness review

Hey thanks for the review. I have been looking into this for some time now but I had all the same worries as you and the same experience with wiring as you but this makes me feel a lot better. I think now I wont hesitate to order the kit instead of the pricey Painless one. Thanks.

Reccomendations for new rear leaf springs?

I have Maeir Racing 4.5 low rear leaf springs with KYB shocks. I live in the North East which means pot holes and the ride is fairly harsh when you hit them but the handling is a lot better than the original equipment. I would recommend them.

Took some pics by the bay

Thanks guys. Yep still need to do the front suspension and a ton of other crap, aka everything, namely brakes as you can see...40 yr old stuff. College sure makes this hard but I keep chipping away. The wheels are 17x8 all around. This is the New Hampshire seacoast near where I live. It is Adams...

    Floors - Rust Encapsulator

The Lizard Skin product went over the Rust Encapsulator product very well. Like I said before I used both the Thermal and Sound Control stuff and I painted both products on with a paintbrush because I did not want to buy their gun thing. The paintbrush worked better with the Sound Control and...

    65 Suspension Question

I run 235/45/17 on the front with 255/40/17 with all 4 wheels having 4.75" of backspacing on the back of my 65. The back has 4.5 leaf Maeir Racing Low Springs (1.25" drop) with KYB shocks and the front is all stock with no shelby mod.. yet. I did not roll any of the lips and I have not noticed...

    Hey, Nice Eleanor

I get this too. Friends and co-workers always want to race or see how fast it is and I always tell them I'm not going to race. They ask why and I answer: 1. Some 40 year old part will break and it will cost me more money than I have to fix and I wont be able to drive it the rest of the season...

    Finally - Pictures

I'm not going to hit the fender/lip with a hammer...I mean on the inside wheel house (trunk side), where it is already warped... Yeah, thanks for your chart and info, it is your car that made me choose 255's over 245's or 235's. Yes, yes you do. As soon as my bank account allows...im in...

Any Young Mustang owners out there??????

I got my 1965 coupe when I turned 16 after I got a job. My dad let me borrow the money only if I had a steady job. I am 19 now and in college with little money. But with my tax returns and weekly paychecks I try and do what I can to it overtime. It has actually come along quite a bit. I have...

    Replacing rear springs

Strange my rear passenger side is lower than my drivers side. I also just ordered all new stuff including Maier 4.5 leafs (160 'low' for 1.25 drop), KYB shocks, and heavy shackles from Mustang Depot for $490.

Pictures of the Billet Specialties Installed

They do hit on the inside, not the lips. The lips are fine. I'll add another picture of where it rubs. But that problem will be gone soon. I'll also take some more body pictures later today since it's sunny and nice outside.

Pictures of the Billet Specialties Installed

Hmm...According to Dodgestangs chart, which I used before I ordered them, they should fit with the 4.75 backspacing. I do realize though that the car is 40 years old and there are differences. They barely rub and only do when driving it over bumps. I don't have a problem with the outer lips...I...

Pictures of the Billet Specialties Installed

I finally got them mounted on the car and took a couple pictures. I do have a problem with the rear passenger side wheel rubbing the wheel well. They are all 17"x8" and the tires are; rear: 255/40/17 - front: 235/45/17. They dont seem to rub on the rear driver side though. They do come close to...

    Shoulder Belt Conversion

I am interested in getting shoulder belts for my 'stang but was wondering what is the best way of doing this? I see they are $250 for the kit but that just seems like a lot. Is this the best way or is there an alternative that works?...like ripping them out of another car? Who has done this? Thanks
