SonicGT04, if it's the stock TB from an "02 GT," they came with a 65mm TB. I changed my out with an FRPP 70mm TB and my throttle response improved - made a difference in response during my top end speed...

When I first got my Vert mine were sticking like hell and I took it in to the Dealer. I was lucky that the stereo guy was working that day and they replaced the unit while I waited (it only took the guy like 30 min!). However, Ford sent out a notice over a year ago not to use "stick on labels"...

I installed mine about a year ago and I still love looking at them everytime I drive my Vert. I get a lot of compliments and questions about where I got them when people see them. The toughest part of the installation is pulling off the headlight knob! :nice:

brianmef, good luck but it sounds like the same old "stall process" that's been going on for over a year. If you look at my last post (#686), you'll see that I contacted Ford Customer Serv and they said they knew of nothing wrong with the Tremec 3650. However, I guess there is always hope...

I used all my stock bolts too. That stock D/S sure is heavy compared to that aluminum one... :nice:

I agree with Zinc001 about painting the FRPP D/S rotors. Go to Wal-Mart and buy Dupli-Color Aluminum (DH1606) and spray the the backs and front of the rotors without getting it on the braking surface area - no more rust! By the way, I did find that the D/S rotors go through pads quicker. I use...

I installed the Russell's SS brake lines and speed bleeders about a month ago on my 02 vert. I love the set up. Being able to bleed the brakes by myself was nice. The only problem I had was re-using the original banjo bolts. The original copper washers had obviously been compressed too...

I have not found the SS lines for the rear of my 02 vert. However, I did install the Russell's for the front along with the speed bleeders (don't need the wife to pump the brakes anymore). I really like the set up. I paid like $95 for the front lines and bleeders - with shipping. Get the EBC...

I use the EBC "greenstuff." Not as much dust as others but they all dust some. Tire Rack has them for $69 a pair.

Fastred, that steel braided hose is sweet looking. Do you like the cooling perfomance and where did you get it? JD :nice:

Does anyone know any place that sells a kit to replace all the stock radiator hoses with silicone ones for our 4.6L? The only ones I ever see are for the 5.0L that are 86-93. :shrug:

I have used Amsoil 5w-20w on my 02 vert since the first oil change after 2K miles. However, I started using the same type oil on my 97 Explorer after 95K miles. It currently has 125K miles, runs better than before and my gas mileage improved. The Explorer has no oil leaks, doesn't smoke and...

If Skud & Twisted can get "HotRod Mag" to just check out this thread (it's like the #1 thread!), they would have a significant number of confirmed T-3650 problem owners. Unfortunately, it's apparent that Ford (and their Dealers) don't give a crap about what we are experiencing! :notnice: :bs:

My 02 vert GT always takes 4 3/4 quarts for oil changes. If I put more than that, after I run it and it sits, it will be above the "full" crosshatch. :rolleyes:

You need to buy them. Ford's not that generous ...
