    T5 Identification Advice Needed

You were close. You just needed to know all of the possible bodies and engines (that could have a manual trans). 2-door sedan (coupe) = P26 2-door convertible = P27 3-door sedan (hatchback) = P28 The 3.8L had an automatic only. So that left the turbo and non-turbo 2.3L and 5.0L. 2.3L (LX) =...

1982 Mustang 5.0 unusual wide body looks like a McLaren kit

Dealer Special Order (DSO) kits were available to convert a 'regular' Mustang hatchback to a look-alike M81. This is probably one of them. Being a 1982 model it is not a (1980) M81. It is very unlikely it is an Enduro GT. Two of the three Enduro GTs are accounted for. Check this thread on...

7.5" vs 8.8" drum brake compatibility

Aluminum drums were on early (before 1983) turbo cars. If they happened to make it onto turbo cars before 1983, so be it. Same years for 9" front disc and 6.75" rear axle .. but they were for non-V8 and non-turbo cars. The 5-speed, which was NOT a T-5, was made by Tremec in Mexico, and dated...

7.5" vs 8.8" drum brake compatibility

No, you cannot use 10" drums with 9" backing plates. You either use all 9" parts or you use all 10" parts.

7.5" vs 8.8" drum brake compatibility

All of the drum brake components are the same between 7.5" and 8.8", on the Mustang...backing plate, drum, shoes, wheel cylinders, etc. 10" rear drum brakes were OE on V8 LTD/Marquis, and maybe Fairmont/Zephyr wagon? (I don't remember exactly other than LTD/Marquis.) They were not ever on...

1984 LX 5.0 with NO History- Help!

What you have pictured in post #8 above is a $20 standard report. It is not a $55 deluxe report. If you are getting prices higher than what I have posted, stop buying them from anyone other than Marti directly. For the 1984 model year, the elite report is $275, not $299.

1984 LX 5.0 with NO History- Help!

You do not need to buy a $275 "elite" report to get the selling dealer name. A $55 "deluxe" report will tell you. What you have bought is the $20 "standard" report and as you can see, it tells you the selling dealer number but not the selling dealer name.
