    new 5.0 auto vs. stick

I've been a stick man all my life, I just brought home my new 2012 GT/CS in a Manual. I must say I sure like the gear spacing they used esp for a 3.55 rear gear. I say stick if for no other reason engine rpm control. I had a few stab & steer stangs and while great for reaction time, I found...

fuel gauge goes way over full... any ideas?

the reason for the fuel gauge issues lies with the sending unit & float arm.. mine did the same thing. it would read way past full, then all of a sudden start dropping fast. I changed the sending unit in the tank and now the gauge doesn't go up as high past the full mark and comes down much...

    Any muffler suggestions?

while the sound is also very important, why not get both? no sense in having a good sounding muffler if it's holding back HP (backpressure) now is it? as for being to technical, those who want the most from their motor also want an exhaust setup that will compliment the engine setup. what your...

    Any muffler suggestions?

Flowmasters Those of you who run Flow's. go check the CFM they put out and you'll see why so many don't like em. just about every other muffler flows more CFM per muff than flows. IIRC, flows only deliver 380 CFM per muff, compared to say dynomax ultra's or Magnaflows which flow over 1100 CFM...

    Which is the better Radiator?

Thanks for that link. that rad looks real nice and the price is sure right. I'm just waiting to see if a buddy who lives real close to RD can get a better deal on the purchase ot 2 or 3 at a time as he's buying one too. They make a 28x19 (direct fit) and a 31x19. same as the AFCO with 1" tubes...

    Which is the better Radiator?

I'm planning on changing radiators as mine is a bit shorter (3") than the stock one. Even though it's a very good alum rad and cools fine with my RC fans now. I'm adding a complete new A/C system with an upgraded condenser (33% more efficient) to the car so i'm going with the Mark VIII fan...

    73mm brake caliper upgrade

My car came with the 86 SVO 73mm Calipers. don't ask me how that happened but when I went to change wheel bearings & seals, thats when I found out. I don't use a prop valve, just the stocker and brake hawk pads, car stops pretty good considering the rear drums (with carbon fiber shoes). (still...

    which radiator

really? :bs: I had a HD 3 row brass and it couldn't keep my high comp 347 cool for it's life :notnice: . Spent $200 (real expensive huh?) on a new HOWES alum rad with larger inner tubes (no plastic), plus it's a tad smaller than stock and it keeps me at 180-185* in 112-114* AZ heat :nice...

    170 amp fuse for a 200amp alternator?

EXACTLY, I want to make dam sure if anything blows, it's just the fuse only. Don't need any melted cables or fried alternators. West Marine makes a very nice setup (what I used). Scott

    170 amp fuse for a 200amp alternator?

you want to run a smaller fuse than the rated output of the alt. I run a 150 amp alt and use a 125 amp fuse. If you match the fuse size (amp rating) to the alt's amp rating, then kiss your alt goodbye if it develops a problem. Scott

    Ram Chargers Dual Fan Question

I run the RC dual 12's. Keeps my 10.7 comp 347 plenty cool in the 112*+ AZ weather on just the low speed setting. Great fan system. Just needs the DC Control unit added rather than the toggle switch. Scott
