    Steel Braided Brake Lines

Russell and Goodridge are great products. I have Goodridge on my Mustang and had them on my VTR. Super pedal/lever feel.

BS at new job, what would you guys do?

Put on a USPS uniform, load up the ol' AK and head off to work for one last day of hunting the most dangerous game. Hope you didn't burn any bridges when you left the last place.

    Got beat...

I drove one of those things at the Auto Show in Motion. It's got almost as much power as my GT had stock and it's lighter. I don't dig FWD but I got around the track faster in it than I did in the GTO. You can get it halfway through an "S" and just punch it without worrying about gobs of...

    100 thousand club

108,000. 5,000 on the bottom end. The original started puffing smoke.

    VT 1's on headswapped

I have stage IIs with even more compression. The dish isn't where the contact would be anyway so that's a moot point. You should degree any aftermarket cams. I did but they were spot-on one side and 1 degree advanced on the other...safe enough after timing it correctly even with a 32v bottom-end...

looking into getting a sport bike

And that is your prerogative. Evidence that we still live in the best country in the world, eh? :flag: Before I bought mine I got a secondhand report from a guy who said his friend went down with one and slid with nary a scratch. That sold me but leather is still going to outprotect anything we...

looking into getting a sport bike

Ahh and the reason I come to Stangnet...to warm up on the :flame: . I won't be baited into the internet special olympics. Back on topic: Proper gear would include a full-face helmet that fits well (there have been several arguments as to preferred safety standards but one of the leading...

some info on the hard hot start

My hot starts are nasty with the cams and LTs. And it gets H-O-T here in CFL. I sometimes have to give 1/2 throttle to get it to fire after stopping for gas in the heat of the day.

looking into getting a sport bike

In my autobiography I will punctuate questions with a question mark. I may, however quote others as I did in that post where I was talking about others, not myself. An autobiography is about oneself. Somehow I'm reminded of a "Your mama..." joke from 5th grade. No. Maybe it was when we used to...

looking into getting a sport bike

A squid doesn't realize he is a squid. He calls other equally capable (in the hands of most) vehicles "sissy bikes". He also prefers bling over function, like spinners and a DVD player on a Hayabusa. Analogy lesson - biker/rider : squid driver/enthusiast : ricer

looking into getting a sport bike

That's a great read. I'm glad there are a few other smart, mature people here. I don't hate liter bikes either. They have their place and that place is not in the hands of a beginner. If you do outgrow your "minibike" and have trouble selling it, a little advice: stop trying to get out of it...

looking into getting a sport bike

Nobody has any business exceeding the limits of a 600cc sportbike on a public road. Anyone who thinks they have should try a track day and reassess. Even the mid-size bikes will exceed your talents. If it's the mid-range (read "usable and streetable") torque you're missing, try a v-twin or...

looking into getting a sport bike

SV650 or the new Ninja 650 would be great for a beginner riding on public roads. Enough power to squirt out of the way without having to wind it up like an I-4 600. Also not as liable to buck you off as a liter bike. Liter bikes are a bad idea for a first bike. Not at first when you're...

    Ethanol blended fuel effects?

I'm injecting 50% water and 50% Ethanol/Methanol blend(denatured alcohol w/ a bottle of Heet added) so I can run some decent timing with my high-compression engine. I picked up 1 MPG without advancing timing, same driving style and 3 MPG after advancing the timing back to stock. I just added 2...

MEMBERS WITH AFTERMARKET CAMS pleas come in here..........

VT stage II cams and Comp springs. Idle had to be set at 650 to keep from stalling, but otherwise there are no problems. It pulls strong all the way to the new rev limit (6500) but I rarely pass 6000.

When Do I Go To 24lbs Injectors?

My tuner recommended 24lb injectors. Numbers in sig. and a nice A/F ratio. You don't need to upgrade yet.

    White Face Guages

I have the same problem but I worry about cutting any off because it looks like the bottom piece is required to complete the circuit for the "glow" lighting.

Maintenance to do while doing PI headswap

Replace gaskets except maybe the valve cover gaskets.

    oddly quiet...

That T/A has one muffler. You have two. My brother-in-law has a 3.4L v6 Camaro (1994 vintage) and it's a good deal louder than my Mustang was even with an offroad x and Flowmaster 40s. He has one Flowmaster 40 and no cat.
