    Rear Emblem Mounting

GT (Jim): My experience was the same as Emay's (except I used 40 lb. test--it was stuck on there pretty good, and it's only been three weeks.) Now, I put on the SilverHorseRacing rear medallion ... ... and it came with a piece of double-sided material to use in case the factory adhesive...

    New Steeda CAI and tune

Agreed!! We're limited to 91 octane here, but the Steeda CAI (X3 tune) made a huge improvement ... as did the springs ... and the sway bars. Now it drives more like a sports car. :D

Best way to improve HP 08 GT 5Spd

Since I'm not going to put on a supercharger, I did add the Steeda CAI and X3 tune -- and I love it! Power doesn't level off anymore after 4,000 rpm, it stays consistent all the way to redline. So now, the car is a whole lot quicker and lots more fun to drive in all gears. The CAI and tune...

Custom 1966 Mustang GT badges installed...

Yeah, they look real good! I, too, just put the '65 shields on my silver.

    How clean is your stang??

Exterior: that's why I got Satin Silver.

    Anyone Leasing Their Mustang?

Exactly! I had an electric sunroof put in my '04 GT--the dealer loved the condition of that car when it was turned back in.

    Anyone Leasing Their Mustang?

You can lease a fully equipped GT, and then do some minor mods to still end up with a pretty good ride. I arranged for my '07 GT to come with 20" wheels and Nitto 555s, then I put on Eibach springs, Magnaflow axle-back, sway bars, and a CAI w/tune. Its a blast to drive! I'm not looking to...

    Anyone Leasing Their Mustang?

Because I'm self-employed--I deduct more with the lease as a business expense than I could deduct for depreciation if I bought it. (That's my understanding from an accountant; I have no understanding of tax rules themselves.)

    Anyone Leasing Their Mustang?

I've been leasing new GTs because it's better for my taxes; and since I don't (get to) drive very much, I get cheap mileage rates. When I turn this one in, I'll have to take off the CAI and put the OEM air box back on, but I'd likely have to do that anyway for the smog check. Little enough to...

The "premier trim" package with stitched leather dash etc.

I have the same package as PoopDawg and do like it a lot. My one criticism is of the shift knob. It looks great, but even though it's aluminum, it's freezing cold in winter when you get in the car, and it's burning hot in summer!

    ticket for driving lights

Might have been nice to know -- but too dangerous to ask. If you are in court and it's going your way, keep quiet. If you win, leave happily. So long as you are still in the courtroom, the judge continues to have jurisdiction over you and he or she can change their mind or make other kinds of...

    would cold air be beneficial???

+2 I just got the Steeda CAI with X3 tune ... what fun! Much better acceleration, and it stays consistent now through all RPM instead of fading after 4,000. :nice:

what does your user name mean...

A "Mustang" anagram ... and kinda how I felt when I finally got back into a Stang.

Any "Auto Drivers" miss the banging of gears ?

I started going through those withdrawals not long after I got my '04 GT automatic -- my right arm made phantom shifts all the time. I finally broke down last year and swapped for an '07 manual (and love it!) Depending on how you look at it, that could be more or less complicated than changing...

    Best decision?

I had an '04 GT automatic, but I hated not being able to shift gears. So I traded for an '07 GT manual. DarkFireGT is right on about the differences between the cars--I had no idea. Because the wheelbase is a little longer and because the front wheels are now right at the front of the car...

    New exhaust, better mileage ??

You got that right! (I really, really love my wife, but her and WOT together wouldn't be good for anybody. ) ... And I do love the mods. Thanks.

    New exhaust, better mileage ??

Postscript: well, the Magnaflows and the Eibachs are in; the car rides, sounds, and looks so much better -- wife didn't even notice the changes.

    New exhaust, better mileage ??

OK, that'll do it: better mileage with the new exhaust -- I'll explain how I drive slower when I can better hear it. :rlaugh: Thanks again.

    New exhaust, better mileage ??

That's good too. (She takes better care of them than I would--over 20 years now.) Thanks a lot. :)

    New exhaust, better mileage ??

Well, that's something, I s'pose ... hmmm. Thanks. (I'm really hoping that someone says I'm on to something with this mileage thing--but I won't hold my breath.)
